Full Version: one user and/or nation per network rule

I know your worried about cheating and all that jazz, because it's happened before. But come on, your not letting us breathe. I understand you only want one nation per IP. I'm ok with that, but how you enforce that, it's just wrong. You have to let us breathe! We shouldn't have to be worried about the possibility of our nation being deleted by going on another computer.

So what should be done, is instead of just one nation per IP period, it should be only one nation being created per IP. So you create your nation on your personal computer, then be able to access your nation anywhere. Because if two people logon on the same IP, doesn't mean they're cheating, it probably gives a 30% they are.

So please Admin, just let us breathe, and everytime you see two nations logon the same IP, don't ban them on sight. Just, allow one nation to be created per IP, that would solve the problem of everyone worrying if their nation will be deleted every time they logon a foreign computer.

Sincerly,

HD

Similar requests have been made many times before this one by other users who also had no solid concept of how our in-game cheat detection system works. You won't be banned if you log on from somewhere other than your own network and are legitimately not cheating. If you log in from the computer of another user you will rightfully receive a cheat flag and then those nations will not be allowed to interact again. If you are cheating and claim to be logged in to a public computer we can tell. The system uses numerous detection methods and technical errors are extremely rare, hence the policy of no appeals for in-game actions.

Players may not log in from a shared IP just because they registered from different IPs. This is tried all the time through cheaters using proxies (proxy use also being illegal) and anyone attempting to circumvent the rules in this fashion will be deleted and banned.

This is all explained in numerous stickies in the forum, and the policy is not up for discussion. Follow the rules as they are written (including where to post things; a plea to admin to change the rules is clearly not a question so it doesn't belong in the Questions Center) and you'll be fine.
