Oh how the time has past. Last year, in what I believe was the beginning of June, the Karma War was still raging, when two individuals whom I share much history with approached me to being an alliance. These two individuals being kean and Granat, who then resided in the New Pacific Order. Being the wandering heart I am, I of course accepted. I then approached another one of our mutual friends, USMC123 of Ragnarok, and asked him if he would like to set our on this journey with us. He accepted and so began our story.

We had been planning for weeks before I decided to leave my previous alliance, the Viridian Entente, due to there being a lack of available targets in my range for what must have been a couple weeks. Coincidentally I changed to the Tetris alliance affiliation one day after the 25th anniversary of the game which we pay homage too. The others would follow a month and a half later when they were relieved of their military duties to their respective alliances. I used this time by myself on the alliance affiliation to recruit new nations, unfortunately all the members recruited during this time have departed from us, but the names such as AldusValor, Pojo D. Chicken, Gridsmasher, Inexor, ckynation and a few others will remain in our memories.

After all four founders were on the affiliation we would soon have an influx of members, these members would later shape what Tetris was and is today. First came Rhaemyr who added his own strange sense of humor and stalking interests to the alliance, the a mere couple days later Darth Pollard who is a staple; one which we would fall apart without, and finally BladeX who was a main character in the first life of Tetris. These members we could not live without, and I am eternally grateful for their loyalty and commitment to the alliance.

In addition to these earlier members we have picked up a couple who have made their way to the core of Tetris including but not limited to Mack, titodafarmer, Sam Morgan, and Jovan Cossades.

As many know, we have unfortunately experienced our greatest departure yet, with kean exiting our alliance. However I would not feel right if we do not honor everything he has done with us over the past year. He has created the majority of the images you see us use, and has ran our forums in all lives of Tetris. He has returned to his previous alliance in the NPO and we wish him much happiness there. We will hold a place for him in our hearts and minds as we continue onward.

Other members who have departed us but must be remembered are Enoda, Zojj, Kerneldump, Kaishya, Sirloin0fBeef, SuperChris, Vanilla Ice, Zulkarian, Alphonse Elric, Ectone, and the plethora of quieter members who have left or have gone inactive.

But today is a happy occasion, for today marks the first anniversary of our Declaration of Existence. A year of falling tetrads, a year of spam, and a most importantly a year of fellowship. While I stand here and look back at the times we have had I can most assuredly say that this year has been the funnest I have had inside an alliance, and here I shall remain.

I also want to take this time to thank our allies in Ragnarok and the Viridian Entente for protecting us during our early days, and for allowing us to jump into the most recent global war on your behalf, it won't be the last time either. Thank you to our allies in the Colonial Independence Association for giving us many fond memories, and having near constant contact every day since that fateful rogue attack. Thank you to the SOS Brigade for giving us an opportunity to branch out, and being steadfast allies who we know will have our back. And of course to all the signatories of the United Jungle Accord for providing a safe and relaxing haven for our members, in addition to providing us with trade circles. To ARES, though we have canceled our treaty to lack of communication between us, thank you for providing that extra muscle as our second treaty, fortifying our deterrence from rogues back in the day.

To celebrate this occasion we are in the process of switching forum providers with the gracious help of our allies in the CIA. Thank you again friends.

Although I was not one of the original founding members of Tetris, I still consider myself to be a key part of this alliance. I joined 22 days after the alliance posted it's declaration of existence, and immediately found a fun, active community already formed around a core group of members. Rhaemyr joined Tetris two days before me and Blade joined 10 days later. This formed a core group of 7 members who were IRC active and all got along well. The four founders and myself, Rhae and Blade were joined and left by various people such as Enoda, Zojj and the infamous Vanilla Ice. But ultimately, they all left and we were brought back down to the original seven core members. After the elections in November 2009, We were informed that USMC would be no longer able to be active, and therefore relinquished the position of Game Developer, selecting Logan to succeed him. I was promoted to Programmer of Foreign Matters. During this time, we gained Mack as an active member, we fought our first war, taking on an alliance much larger in terms of numbers and strength than our own, we made friends and allies, various people from other alliances became active participants of our public channel discussions, such as the ongoing adventures of Blade's rats and why women will be the death of us all. At the end of last month, we had elections. Logan decided to step down as Game Developer and take up the role as head of internal affairs. I was promoted to Game Developer for my fantastic looks, love of everyone and for my Britishness. We will continue to grow and prosper as an alliance. There are several people who we would like to recognize in various fields, both within and outside of the alliance.

Great speeches all around!

It's almost been a year already since I came back to CN and joined Tetris. If Kean didn't tell me to come back, hell I'll probably still be playing WoW (Well, I still am...).

Everyday I boot up my computer, first thing I do is open up IRC, because that's where we talk about women and rats and games and Pollard's sisters, and goats and daily life stuff. Tetris is an amazing alliance, it's a place where we can all talk about our daily lives and discuss about random things, it's isn't a normal day without Pollard hitting on me, nor letting Rhae make fun of Pollard/Myself, nor hearing Mack's perverted topics, nor Granat's goats, nor Logan's drug addiction, nor Aquaman, nor (you get the point).

I can't think of anything to say because I'm brain dead from playing SC2, but here you go.

I only have a few words!

Congrats and you guys are the best! I have never seen an alliance as unique as Tetris. It is always something new in your public channel and on your forums. I'll be honest, despite the CIA being a tad bit bigger, I have always been jealous of the activity Tetris has.
