I just got back from seeing it at the theater(where else?). Anyway, I thought it was really cool. good concept, good monster design, and !@#$@#$ FANTASTIC ending. if you haven't seen it, go see it. if you have seen it, share your thoughts in dis thread i suppose.

I believe this belongs in the water cooler, not the boiler room.

However, I'd like to go see it. It does look appealing.

I'm sort of interested from the trailer, which looked like the US military versus large spiders in New York City, with lots of napalm involved.

Which would be a good idea for a movie if that isn't what it's about.

It sucked.

The reason for why the mist came sucked BIG TIME.

The ending of the movie sucked, and as soon as it started to pan out, you could predict the twist.

Even if The Mist were the greatest horror movie of all time, it would be dethroned by Guillermo Del Toro's upcoming adaptation of H.P. Lovecraft's "At the Mountains of Madness".

exorcist takes greatest horror movie ever, but I just saw the mist today and thought it was a quite good movie. not quite amazing, but a good horror worthy of note with plenty of sadism along with a incredible amounts of super tense moments when your just wondering over what the hell is gonna kill someone next.

I couldn't stop laughing at the religous nut, but they had a great message about human nature with her charicter.

I have never been a huge stephen king fan, so i'll have to say i probably won't be seeing it. the trailer to the movie made it look like pretty lame version of the actual book. also, i'd recommend American Gangster over any other movie in theaters today...although No Country For Old Men doesn't look too bad.

...You...Don't like Stephen King?

...Bobby, what's wrong with you? You have to like him. You can't have an opinion about the King unless it's a good one.

I don't like him much either, honestly, but from what I heard American Gangster was horrible, someone told me that it is pretty much just Denzel Washington going around killing people... which sounds cool to me, and he is the only one that said it sucked, but he said it with amazing conviction... anyway I will probably see it, probably I won't see the Mist, though it does have the Punisher in it... so maybe I must.

LOL!!! I'm just not into much of the horror that is spewed out these days... I mean why all the blood and gore (for instance the movie Saw)? now i'm not saying that Stephen King is a bad writer (cuz that would be a blasphemous thing to say) or that his novels are bad (cuz they aren't). i just never really got into many of his books. the only one i really enjoyed was The Stand.

That's your friend's opinion. mine is...your friend is crazy. i love it how all the fictitious movies based on novels like the Mist are proclaimed awesome by almost everyone(even when their missing tones of information provided by the actual book), while the historically based or the "based on true events" films such as American Gangster are shot out of the water. American Gangster is definitely by far the best movie out of Hollywood this year. and to clue you in on a little secret... there really isn't much violence in the movie besides the beginning and a few parts of scenes in the middle and end of the movie. there is more nudity than violence in the movie. trust me, i thought there would be tones of violence in this particular movie also.

Great reasons why the movie "sucked BIG TIME".

You can say there were flaws, but thats about it.
