LegendoftheSkies
FOR SEMI-IMMEDIATE RELEASE AFTER KEV GETS OVER HIS HANGOVER FoA Protectorate OWRP, PLANET BOB – Jan. 25, 2010 QUOTE It's always a pleasure for us at Corp to help out our friends on the yellow team. As you may recall, we extended FoA a 7 day protectorate after they found themselves in a tight spot awhile back. Relations between our two alliances since then have only been pleasant, and so when it came time for a review, it was decided, with widespread approval among our staff, that we would extend our agreement and sign a permanent protectorate with FoA. Unfortunately, unforeseen circumstances have delayed the announcement until now. However, now here we are, and there you have it. Let it be known that if you're attacking FoA, you're attacking Corp. It's been great working with FoA's leadership and we have high hopes for the future. Preamble: The Corporation (hereafter referred to as Corp) and the Forces of Annihilation (hereafter referred to as FoA) come forth on this day, January 21st of the year 2010, to make permanent the bonds betweeen them. Together, in unity and mentorship, we sign this protectorate treaty in the hopes that our friendship will continue to flourish and that growth be mutual and cooperative between the undersigned alliances. Article I: Sovereignty The undersigned alliances understand that each signatory is a soverign entity. This treaty shall not at any point infringe on the sovereignty of either party. Article II: Peace Both FoA and Corp hereby agree that no hostile action shall be taken against one another. Should a dispute arise, both alliances agree to settle the mattle expeditiously and in a manner befitting the friendship found among both alliances. Article III: Information Sharing Should any of the undersigned alliances come in possession of information that may pertain to their fellow signatory, they are mandated to share said information with said alliance immediately. Article IV: Defense The Corporation hereby declares that a declaration of war on the Forces of Annihilation shall be seen as a declaration on the Corporation as well. Should the Forces of Annihilation come under attack as a result of their own aggressive actions, the Corporation, may, but is not required to provide assistance. The Forces of Anihilation hereby declares that a declaration of war on the Corporation shall be seen as a Cassus Belli for the Forces of Annihilation to enter on behalf of the Corporation. This assistance is not mandated, though strongly suggested. Article V: Aggression The Corporation and the Forces of Annihilation hereby declare that should a signatory of this treaty declare war on another alliance aggressively, it is not mandated for their fellow signatory to give assistance, however it is strongly suggested. Article VI: Mentorship I. The Corporation hereby declares that it will serve as a Mentor and Guide to the Forces of Annihilation in all matters. II. The FoA shall be provided with Advisors from the Corp solely to help further the success of the alliance. III. The Corp pledges unilateral financial, technological, military, political, and resource trading assistance to the FoA, if requested by the FoA. This entitles the FoA to access to the Corp's Payroll and Loans Center, Office of Supply, and Office of Technology. Article VII: Foreign Affairs I. The Forces of Annihilation hereby agree to brief and inform the Corporation regarding any potential treaties they wish to sign during the duration of these terms. II. The Corporation must approve any Defense or Aid treaties between the FoA and a non-signatory alliance. Article VII: Cancellation Should both parties agree to cancel this treaty peacefully, a period of forty eight (48) hours will commence in which the articles of this treaty remain valid. Violations of the spirit and letter of this treaty shall consider it void immediately. LegendoftheSkies
Seems like this came a tad too late. Even if it didn't, I doubt NpO would've cared. We signed a temporary protectorate and had the entire matter of the raid settled well before their DoW. But this does not concern NpO, this concerns a beautiful new treaty. I will accept only mindless hails in this thread. Edited January 25, 2010 by LegendoftheSkies

Adam Suttler
I commend the Corporation for making the move to bring this conflict to a close. No doubt, \m/ should be backing off shortly after. If not, then they truly are a stubborn bunch marked for destruction.
