The reincarnation of Cyber Citizens has been in Alpha testing for the last month or so and Beta is finally arriving this Friday. Registrations will open around 10 am EST (and that's only an approximation).

As a member that was a part of the Alpha testing, I'm very impressed with this game. In CC, alliances are player created as they are here, but they're called "Parties" and allow you to add members in-game, while still using off site forums if you choose. As a matter of fact, I've already created Cosa Nostra and I thought I would post our first official news publication below because it features an article about the new game. Worth the read if you're considering joining CCv2 when it debuts this Friday. Hope to see plenty of fresh faces. :)

I remember this, and not terribly fondly, I must say.

Tyler! Glad to spread the word to a few more of the original faces. See you Friday. :)

In response to the other guy, not many people at all were fond of the original, including Admin. I think the new one offers quite a bit more. He actually stated himself that he did this because of how lacking the original was and he really wanted to do it right, so give it a shot.

The other guy, is that what I have been reduced to now?

Oh well, I may give it a try Gabe, but first impressions are important :P

Join again, raise that money, then give it to me. :D

(for real though, I'll buy CC cash for CN cash/tech)

Actually, you won't. That loophole unbalanced the game last time around, giving a huge advantage to players with sizeable CN accounts which shouldn't be required to get ahead in the game. As a result, no in-game transfers will be allowed in CCv2.

Jobs won't work the same either. Rather than choosing a career path and having an incremental salary, you can either create your own Company (where you'll hire people to work for you) or you can go to work for someone else. Money is in smaller denominations this time around, but that's fine because things cost less too.

What about out-of-game transfers?

Woohoo! More time to waste.

But by the end the cap was having to be raised because stats were too high. Don't expect to make big money up front and quickly get to high stats. It's meant to challenge. I think the fun in this game is going to be Parties battling for control of the Mayorships...which, btw, you can do a lot more with now. There are a lot of options to control from the Mayor seat.

As another person in the alpha, I can also say it is quite good.

are they going to cross check every transfer from person A's CC account to person B's CC account and from person B's CN account and person A's CN account?

If so, are they going to delete all such nations, or transfers? If so, what of legit transfers, people in the same party in CC are likely to be in the same alliance in CN.

There will be no money transfers in CCv2. You can trade items but directly sending money to another player isn't possible.
