ENCODED MESSAGE: TO: INDONESIA; FAR EASTERN MANDATE FROM: NORTHASIAN UNION SUBJECT: PACIFIC HEGEMONY MESSAGE: BEGIN: Dear esteemed leaders of Indonesia and the Far Eastern Mandate, the recent merger of Russia and China has produced a powerful new player in world affairs. Recognizing that the British Empire is not entirely a benevolent power, But at the same time suspicious of the American Confederation, We ask to invite you to Saint Petersburg to discuss the establishment of a Regional Hegemony, dominated by the Northasian Union, the Far Eastern Mandate, and the Indonesian Archipelago. If this is successful, we will emerge as the most powerful group on earth and unchallenged masters of the Pacific. Thus, please respond soon. The world rests in our palms.

"I have to admit...I'm curious as to what they may want. Send a diplomat."
The General swallowed. "Y-yes sir."
"If you're so worried about their safety, I happen to know there are at least two who are more than capable of defending themselves without weapons. Send one of them." The shadowy leader tossed the files of the individuals in question on the desk in front of the General.
More confidently this time, the General repeated, '"Yes sir!"

The diplomat that stepped off the plane was a young woman of apparently Chinese origins. Her face was carefully schooled to be neutral as she looked around to see who was greeting her...

A shadowy figure emerges from behind a curtain.
"Except me, of course."
He walks into the light. The first look into his emotionless grey eyes betrays his identity as the one and only Vladimir Putin.
"I.. have been waiting for some time. My associate has gone and fetched the representative from Indonesia. Please. Sit down and drink some of this filtered water from the Kazak SSR. It is the filtered tears of gypsy."
OOC: STALKER PUTIN and... BORAT reference!

This was about the time Ms. Lin arrived. "Aren't those supposed to repel certain things?" she asked with a smile.

"The plan in discussion is a simple plan. We shall form a defense bloc, and use it to annihilate all dissent powers in the Western Pacific, namely Vietnam and maybe the USSA if they are non-cooperative. After that, we can build up our position, establish friendly relations with the Kuwaitis and summon enough power to remove the British threat from our continent. With the British removed, we can begin opposing those cursed Americans until they crumble before our unity..."

"I doubt they would try anything. They are probably more scared of you than you are of them. You could easily overrun them before any of their allies could hope to come to their rescue, and they know it."
"And concerning Imperialism...it's largely the the British version that they opppose--large claims far from the homeland--it's more anti-colonialism than anti-Imperialism."
Pretty much the way Indonesia had presented itself to the world. "If you wanted to expand further in Asia itself, I doubt Vietnam would protest very loudly. They wouldn't dare."

"They have shown no overtly hostile moves, but admitedly it could be a front. They oppose Britain's expansion, but I suppose it could simply be opposing a rival. I don't know. What I do know is that it is indeed wise to band together in these troubled times."
