No wonder I can't find a job. Too much competition to fight against.

School age children, stay at home moms and the retired are unemployed! The economy is in ruins!

Oh, they're actually talking in terms of general population as opposed to the actual workforce? Way to put a spin on numbers...

The US population is a bit over 300 million, and the work force is a bit over 150 million. That means that there are about 149 million people without jobs, but that's if you include everyone in the country, such as infants, school children, the retired, etc.

Well, isn't that country fairly evenly split between Republicans and Democrats? If Fox News is calling 50% of population of the country unemployed, and by Fox's definition Democrats are not *real* Americans, then they are actually saying that nearly 100% of all Americans are unemployed.

A startling rebuke of Obammunism.

Not even close to a typo. The unemployment rate as it stands and is currently calculated is 9.8%. Given a population of 300,000,000, that stands at 29.4M people. 14.9M unemployed would give just a 5% unemployment rate. 149M would give a rate of 49.7%. No matter how you look at it, it is more than "a typo".

But is that 9.8% of the entire population? Or 9.8% of the workforce. And what about illegal immigrant labour working in your tomato fields and slaughterhouses?

I have no idea how it works, there's a reason I said it came from Fark. :P

Fox has become the Jerry Springer of 24 hours news. While CNN and MSNBC spend thier day covering the lastest MJ revelation, Fox just puts on nut jobs and procaims whatever they say as news. I wish all 3 would go away.
