A map of the Empire's recent claims

And now, Commander Khaled al-Fulani!

"Citizens!

It is time to announce our existance. Time to say, "NO MORE!" to the NAPO. Time to tell the world that we have fangs, and have no problem using them. As I speak, the military is achieving their goals. We are one step closer to declaring ourselves free. Free from oppresion, free from the NAPO.

Now. We request from the NAPO, and the world, recogition of our glorious empire. That is all, God-King Shaka Sulieman will answer embassy requests."

"Carthage supports Johto's claim to independence. In related news, Pokemon game sales have rise two hundred and thirty four percent in Carthage."

"Given that we see you bear the title of 'God-King', Zargathia wishes to inquire if this is simply a title, or an integral part of your nation's religion? Also, our recognition of your nation is pending the reaction of the NAPO to your claim of independence."

It is quite intertwined with our religion; our belief is that there is one man wh ohas direct contact with God, and Sulieman has proven he is.

How exactly has he proven this?

Also, we were under the impression Johto was from a Pokémon game. Does your leader have that much of a Pokémon fetish to name a country after it?

He has powers he does not wish to discuss at this time.

Also, why don't you ask Lance Pikachruin?

So, basically, none.

Lance's last name is a convenience for the sake of argument, in your case. That's all it is.

We must warn you, if you continue doubting our God-King, and by default religion, then we will put you on our nation's blacklist and put out a death warrant for your leaders.

Statement from the Church:

Oh fun, now a God-Empress AND a God-King. Anyway, we recognize your country, but not your status as a god.

"Hmm so already your nation shows it is immaturity in dealing with critics and doubts. We must decline in continuing any talks with your nation until they can prove that they can lead a nation correctly".

Go ahead. We will gladly retaliate, although we wouldn't keep the land.

Out-of-Asian colonies aren't the way to go.

"Speaking of religions, what are your policies about nations that consider another to be God? The world currently holds a God-Empress and a God-Emperor, unrelated to one another, as well as a number of other religions, and we can see how that could potentially have a negative influence on diplomacy."

So defending our religion is considered immaturity now? Interesting.

As long as the religious leaders do not openly slander ours, we have no problem with it.

"New England welcomes this new nation to the world stage.

On a related note, sale of Pokemon products in New England have skyrocketed by 1,500 percent."

"No it isn't but threating world leaders with death threats is".

"Disparu recognizes Johto and welcomes them to the international political stage.

Lance Pikachurin is glad to see another Pokémon-related entity in this world."

"At least Johto's name is the only Pokémon-related part of the nation. In Disparu, most of our major cities are named after Pokémon cities, and even our coat of arms contains Pokémon."

The government official had a very difficult time keeping a straight face when he said, "We recognize the Johto Empire and their God...Bwhahahahaha! Come on! A Pokemon God-King rulong a country!?!?!? Make this the joke of the day!" He then collapsed and died of a hart attack from laughter.

We recognize this nation but refuse to have diplomatic contact with them, considering the threats they have delivered simply because another nation expressed its doubt about their ruler's divinity.

We do NOT recognize this status ourselves, though as we said, we recognize the nation's sovereignty.

The Imperator is not pleased. Pokemon has no place in divinity. The list of recognized divine leaders is very slim including himself, the Peacecraft line of South America, and a few individuals. Accordingly the 'God-King' has not been placed on said list but rather the pretender scroll, which functions remarkably similarly to the death-warrant black list you have described.
