With the birth of the nation now not in the very early stages of before 10 days the Government of Kivortistan (meaning the triumvirate) has come come to an agreement to construct additional infrastructure or more specifically roads, railroads and government buildings. Since before the war between the three major groups (listed below with their leaders) has destroyed all roads and railroads connecting each other. So it has been agreed upon to re-connect and fix the roads and railroads as well as lay new ones. This is to help better the movement of supplies to one another and to establish better communication and coordination around the country. It will also allow citizens to travel around the country with greater ease than before. As well as the ability to move military forces to specific parts of the country with greater ease. It is estimated to take at least 6 months (IC time of course) to complete and several millions of dollars.

Leaders of Kivortistan OOC: Mainly for those who didn't really read my DOE
The Triumvirate
- Georgi Reslov of The Iron Brotherhood
- Jason Marcotte of the mercenary organization Code Blue
- Frederick Relex of Relex's Cossack Army

New government leaders: (All of Russian ethnicity)

Figure Head of Kivortistan- Feodor Bogdanov- A newly appointed position, who takes care of external affairs, makes speeches, and announcements. He holds no military power, but just represents the intentions of the triumvirate. He helps to settle disputes between the triumvirate as well since he is trusted by all three leaders.

Economic Administrator- Maxim Morozov- Mainly just takes care of money and ensures economic stability. He was also the one who proposed the infrastructure construction idea showed above.

Candidates as replacement triumvirate:
1. Pasha Bykov for The Iron Brotherhood and selected by them
2. Gerasim Karpov for Code Blue and selected by them
3. Matvei Churnov for Relex's Cossack Army and selected by them
4. Nikifor Kuzmin an additional runner up agreed on by all three triumvirate.

In other news Kivortistan has launched its first aircraft carrier the Lerchov which has taken Kivortistan several months to accomplish the construction of. OOC: Of course since we are not linked to any large body of water it is kind of sitting in Lake Baikal which if you don't know where that is it is the only body of water my nation borders. perhaps i should try to get a piece of land on the water <_< .

That is all for now...

OOC: Yes I really did like the way that Libya, Finland, and Norway did their news so i said why don't i do something like that rather than make separate topics for little things. It also gives me a chance to flex my RPing muscles :v: .
Also as some people did it i will post public or private above the message.

Kivortistan Finalizes a national religion

The conglomerate has finally chosen a national religion through a national census and then having a triumvirate vote about the matter. Russian Orthodoxy was adopted as the national religion and is being promoted, but not forced onto the people. The adoption of this religion to many citizens is hardly surprising at all due to the location of the conglomerate. Not to mention it was found 91% of the population already practice Russian Orthodoxy. The remaining 9% were Islamic, Buddhist, or a different type of Christianity.

The nation has also discussed a few controversial topics. These decisions were made without the consensus of the people and by the triumvirate alone.

Abortion: Extremely discouraged and unless for extreme cases you must have the approval of a high ranking government official to have one.

Homosexuality/Gay marriage: Outlawed and those found guilty of doing such activities will be first persecuted and if they continue then imprisoned or even executed. The nation of Kivortistan does not take the topic lightly at all. OOC: this is mainly also a response to the one thread that I read, most of you probably know what I am talking about.

Anything environmental: The nation cares not about the environment unless it concerns its own well being and protection.

Cloning, Stem Cell research, and Euthanasia are all banned from use. Consequences will of course follow the use of such.

OOC: This is mainly just a finalization of where we stand on such issues not exactly sure what the other world thinks about such topics.

~Private~

Another very minor border fight has ensued with neighbors under Buryatian protection the third one since Kivortistan's creation although unknown by the international community and The Conglomerate of Kivortistan intends to keep it that way.

~Secret~
Within the Heart of the Conglomerate, a underground complex is being constructed with only one purpose. The creation of nuclear weapons...Already there has been much breakthrough as money keeps coming into the project propelling it into a fast completion. In exactly 168 days (OOC: 14 RL days) the project is going to be completed as the current amount of money far exceeds the cost to do so. To prevent leaks to anyone not involved in the project or not a high ranking official the project is being performed in the strictest manner of security.

~Public~
The Conglomerate announces support for the belligerent Dragon Empire, however no declarations of war are to be made until the Dragon Empires sovereignty and forces are directly attacked by the nation of Tahoe or any other American country. Kivortistan also announces that we are in full support of King Chris's government already in place within Texas and we condemn the confederates actions attacking Texas.
Due to the heavy situation defcon levels are moved from defcon five immediately down to defcon 2.

The Nation has also launched three aircraft carriers bringing the total up to four and bringing the number of F-22s up to seventy five. The Conglomerate has begun to roll out a modern navy as fast as it can to be able to have some sort of dominance on the waters.

Updated Census:
6,993,900 citizens
559,510 soldiers

~Secret~
The real reason why the government was unresponsive for the past few months has been because of internal affairs which were cleared up only recently. This fully and completely established the triumvirate as the absolute rulers of the country and has ended all domestic unrest. To not show any weakness towards the international community the entire event was censored and covered up although it ended in a positive effect at the end of it.

A News Broadcast
Feodor Bogdanov walks up to a podium on a stage overlooking a military gathering in Irkutsk, "Soldiers, brave men who fight for your nation to keep us safe. I come to you with a great announcement, one that should give you heart and allow you to know that you are not the only lines of defense this country has to offer. The announcement is this... earlier today, we have successfully created a nuclear weapon. This will be the first of many weapons that we will create. Today we join the ranks of the nations who are feared worldwide from their nuclear arsenal. However, now that we do have a second means of defense keep in mind that you all are still the first and you have made this achievement possible by keeping this country safe. I salute you all, and will be watching over you."

OOC: Hopefully not considered a grave dig lol, and also not really news in the report type way, but i really don't feel like opening a new thread since i have been rarely posting due to nearly all my time going towards TE. Yes this will be me trying to get more active in CNRP and also me explaining why my government seems to be highly inactive :P .

Two weeks ago... on the outskirts of the city: Ulan-Ude...

At 11:00 P.M. the loud roar of a motor could be heard in the street as 27 year old Alexsey Volkv was hiding in a completely darkened alleyway. A shadowy figure approached Alexsey slowly from behind. Alexsey's heavy breathing blocking out any noise the figure could have made in his approach. the figure suddenly grabbed Alexsey from behind.

"They didn't see you enter here now did they Alexsey?" the figure asked.

"I am certain that they didn't, I am just keeping watch until they leave since it appears they are going on a witch hunt tonight and won't stop until they have blood on their hands. We should leave now, we don't want them noticing that we are here" said Alexsey.

"Well come on then, we can still give them a little surprise even though everyone already moved to outside Irkutsk. There are still a few of us left here which is most likely why they are on the hunt here since this was the breeding center for it all" said the unknown figure.

Alexsey and the figure weaved through the back alleys until they finally came up to a old abandoned looking apartment complex. It was covered in yellow tape saying "Condemned" on it. they just walked through the front door where all the tape was broken where the door crack was. Upon entering there were a few men sitting around a table playing dominoes. They all just looked up at the two people who entered and then looked back to the game and kept playing. The ground of the building was completely covered in snow from the winter and parts of the roof were completely missing.

"How the H$%l can you guys be so calm!? There is a tank out there with an escort of at least 20 soldiers hunting for us!" Alexsey yelled loud enough to make his point, but not too loud for the searchers.

"Someone woke up sober this morning... a shame, you should take pride in your nationality." joked one of them playing dominoes pulling a bottle up to his mouth.

Alexsey was beginning to turn red with anger until they all just burst out laughing at him.

"Alright I guess it is time to get serious before they actually do search this area right?" said one of them sitting there.

They all jumped up from their spots and began to move around the room they dusted off some snow from their ak-47s stapped around to their backs, while one of them began to scrape some snow off of the floor revealing a small trap door which entered into the basement. he quickly went down and re-emerged in two minutes with two RPGs in both his hands and a pack up rockets on his back. they then started heading towards the door when suddenly.

"BOOOOM"

A tank shell went off in the direct proximity of their location. Screaming was also heard fairly close as well as several gunshots going off.

"Alright guys lets take care of them first and then join up with everyone outside Irkutsk. Then we can continue with our main objective... a toppling of the government and monarchy to be set up in its place." said Alexsey while everyone charged out of the door and prepared to assault the forces attacking their district.

OOC: Also this will be all classified unless you can figure it out, via agents in my country or civilians using the Trans-Asiatic railway. Probably not much anyone could post yet, but I will try and develop this a little more when I get a few more posts in.

Background of the situation which has developed:

The Emotions of the people have been stirring for quite some time now, beginning in Ulan-Ude and eventually spreading to every village near it and all the way to capital city of Irkutsk. They had not been broken off of Buryatia for very long, but long enough for them to realize that this autocratic government led by Georgi Reslov, Jason Marcotte, and Frederick Relex was not what they wanted. They wanted to return to the old system of monarchy which they had been under when Buryatia was in charge. Such sentiments began to take deep roots in Ulan-Ude until the a small amount of rebels had formed under no specified leadership that the government of Kivortistan could identify. The movement started nearly 3 months ago, first being minorly cracked down upon by local police forces. But once losses were being reported by the police it was time for the military to act...

At the beginning the rebels numbers estimated as only a few thousand and now their numbers have grown much larger, so much in fact that the government has lost count of their numbers estimates were in the hundreds of thousands (Civilians included in these estimates). The wave of rising rebels has slowly moved across the rural areas that separate the two major cities of Ulan-Ude and Irkutsk. They were first taken very lightly, but soon the government has begun to pull troops away from the other provinces and the borders of the country towards Irkutsk to surround the rebel force, which somehow has gotten a hold of modern weapons, such as airplanes, tanks, and different assortments of bombs. They have also taken over a military outpost 50 miles outside of Irkutsk to the south which held a variety of stinger missiles and SAM sites within it.

Today: The government has tried to suppress any knowledge of the rebellion to its own citizens and the rest of the world with mixed effects, as due to the magnitude the secret could not be secret for very long. The government knew that the people wanted a monarchy, but were unable to figure out who exactly they were trying to bestow the honor of becoming royalty.

A large group of rebels estimating anywhere between 27,000-79,000, who are fairly equipped have stationed themselves at the earlier mentioned military outpost with an estimated 100 tanks and very few airplanes which had been captured within the city of Ulan-Ude. Which just 20 miles away from there is a newly formed army group made up of a collection of other units was located. numbering 46,000 men with 150 tanks and 300 light support vehicles. as well as a group of Cobra attack helicopters in reserve. The newly formed army was under the command of: General Gosha Ponomarev. While there were two army groups already stationed inside the capital: Irkutsk. Those two group made up 150,000 men 400 tanks, and had the support of most of the air force, numbering 35 squadrons of fighters/ bombers in the area. One of the two army groups was under the Triumvirate and previous warlord Frederick Relex, while the other was under Field Marshall Lyov Anisimov. The Rebels were heavily outnumbered at this point, but only had to show the people that they had a chance of victory over their enemies if they just beat off General Gosha Ponomarev's army group, even though more forces would soon be rallied against them from the lands of where Marcotte and Reslov resided in. Both sides just prayed to God that this wouldn't go nuclear however with the recent developement of the nuclear weapons it would almost be assured to do so...

Back at Ulan-Ude Alexsey and the others with him tried to set up positions upon the small attack force. they would divide themselves there being only 8 of them in all 4 would take one side of the street and 4 would take the other side to try and attack from both sides at once.

picture of the street in normal circumstances

armed with just their ak-47s, with very limited ammunition and rpg rounds, they knew that it would take a miracle for them to overtake the soldiers who they knew were wearing kevlar vests and most were armed with the standard assault rifle the AUG.

The uncustomized version of the AUG

Nevertheless hiding behind cover such as dumpsters in the alley way or a intact car in the street they set up positions on the men who had their backs to them except for two men who were watching the backs of their group. Alexsey loaded the RPG and raised it up aiming it towards the back of the tank where most of the men were located standing on the edge of the alleyway. he wasn't the first to fire however as more of the men came out to the edge of the alley ways or into the streets and began to take potshots at the poorly lit figures 20 meters away from them. Alexsey let his missile fly, but it missed the tank and hit a store right next to it making two soldiers become airborne and land onto the front side of a car. Alexsey was spotted and moved back into the alley way as the spot where he was standing two seconds ago was glazed with bullets. He reloaded the RPG as another huge sound rung out along with the sound of a car exploding. Alexsey regardless began making his way back towards the street being reloaded and he saw that everyone was running back, but not everyone as he only saw 3 of moving back down the street.

where was everyone else he thought. Alexsey then looked just across the street and saw the man who he met first in the middle of the street blood pouring out of him. This was a terrible failure we must go and join with the main group at Irkutsk before I am killed too. However perhaps the same thing might happen there as it did here... while he was still thinking a air plane flew overhead and a large explosion could be heard nearby as Alexsey saw flames burst out from the street. More voices and yelling were heard as he decided he had to leave Ulan-Ude before the military begins a crackdown on the whole city. Suddenly on the radio which he had gotten a month back by his comrades had finally started to be used.
"Alexsey, come in..." said a frantic voice.

"Alexsey, report." it said five seconds later.

"Alexsey, respond godd#mn it."

"Hello, Ivan Baranov, its een a long time since I have heard from you." replied Alexsey while running from the scene they just made.

"Well we have a situation over here, multiple missiles earlier were fired upon us... and they... they killed general Lukanov." replied Ivan

"You have got to me kidding me..." replied Alexsey

"Believe me I'm not, which is why i need you and your team to go find Major Lobanov hes the only other senior officer we have that joined us... and he is located in Ulan-Ude." said Ivan

"We will try to find him..." said Alexsey not mentioning that everyone was scattered or dead.

"Make sure you do, perhaps the whole rebellion is riding on this and since none of us could get into direct contact with him, we really need you to find him. Good luck Alexsey, may God watch over you" said Ivan.

Yeah if he only he were doing that a few minutes ago... thought Alexsey Oh well, its time to get busy or get dead, since this is going to kill me if i don't complete it.

Alexsey ran off back to where he met his team in the first place and to tell them of the mission he had been assigned...

A Map of troop placements,

Posted Image

The box with a X in it is the rebels, while the boxes with 6 dots inside is the two separate armies making up 150,000 men total, while the box with 5 dots in it is representing the newly formed army under Ponomarev. the remaining box with 3 dots in it is a division which has taken over the area of Ulan-Ude.

----------------------------------------------------------
Alexsey, made it back to the original meeting area, but when he didnt make it even to the steps before he saw one of his comrades limping bakc and then crumple over onto the steps. Alexsey realized that he was on his own with no support. There was a known location of the Major which was at a small house on the edge of the city, however the military was moving more and more into the city searching and executing or imprisoning suspected rebels. He would have to somehow go at least 4 miles without being noticed to the location the major might just be located. He decided to use his car even though it was against his senses to do so. He carefully moved his way to where his car would be located mainly down the back alleys. A curfew had been set on the city so he would most likely be shot on sight if he was spotted. It was however of the utmost urgency that he got the major there as fast as possible so he could not wait for the time the curfew was lifted.

As he went through the alleyway he thought he saw something up ahead and he dived into the snow behind a pile of garbage made up mainly of destroyed cardboard boxes. What he saw were two soldiers walking down the center of the alleyway who had their weapons raised and were aiming down their sights towards where he used to be standing. One of them held up his radio to his mouth,
"We have not found anything yet sir, it seems to be clear in the streets" he said.

"Very well you may return to back to base, if anyone is left out there our house searching teams will pick them up."

"Very good, we are returning back now."

The two soldiers took a sudden pivot and went down an alleyway which headed back to the street. That was way too d$m close for comfort, another 15 feet and they would have spotted me for sure. Alexsey thought. He jumped back up and began moving forward again watching the spot were the guards had moved out from closely. He made it by while the guards had their backs turned. Hopefully no one else comes down here to search for me Alexsey thought. He began to out of fear running towards his car's location. he made it there in just under 5 minutes panting as he arrived. he reached down for his keys into his pocket... S*&t no way did i forget them back at my house... at a f$^king time like this?

Alexsey walked down to the front of his house observing lights moving down the street, which had to of been the house searching teams. he reached under his mat for the spare key and unlocked his door. he frantically searched his house for his keys, after he closed and locked the door behind him. He finally found his keys inside a desk drawer in his room. He then heard the soldiers getting extremely close. He would have to hide in the house hoping that they didn't find him. Holy H$ll, where am i going to... oh wait maybe i can still fit in my old hiding placehe thought as he ran to the kitchen and opened up the drawers beneath the sink and somehow found a way to fit inside and close the drawers. He then pointed the AK-47 he still had with him towards the front of the drawers. He could hear the soldiers yell at the front of his door,

"Open up for a search!"

"Hmmm it says here that the people who lived here died in a car accident over a year ago, I don't think they are coming to the door." said another soldier

"Break it down then, someone might still be hiding out here, you never know."

The sound of the door smashing in and the march of boots were the only sounds that were in Alexsey's head for the next few minutes as his heart began to race as he hoped to God that he was not found. He was lucky though for after 2 minutes of fruitless searching they left. Alexsey decided to wait it out for at least 15 minutes until he summoned up the nerves to move from his hiding spot. He slowly walked towards the still opened door and looked out into the darkened streets to make sure no one was out there... After making sure he moved back towards his car... he knew exactly the way to go if he wanted to avoid the military... which was the highway which was the only part of the city not in lock down during the curfew. He started his car making sure he had enough gas to make to his destination, and he began heading to the highway which was only a 2 minute drive with no traffic from his present location. he made it there with no interruptions from the military and he began his drive towards the major...

Alexsey had been driving for only a few minutes on the highway when he spotted the exit which would lead him to the major's location. Alexsey was now entering the outskirts of the city and he began taking the very secluded back roads. he was cruising at about 75 mph down one of the back roads when he saw flashes of lights up ahead. He decided to ditch his car as gun shots were being sounded. It would only be a few minutes for him to walk over there, and after grabbing his AK-47 that is what he did. It was for Alexsey to see, but it looked as if there were only about 4 men on each side firing at each other. To the horror of Alexsey a flare was fired into the sky by one of the groups, meant as a beacon for other units to go to. it lit up the ground as well and Alexsey saw the 4 government soldiers shooting at what looked like 4 brigands from different sides of the road. He raised his AK-47 at one of the soldiers and fired off a few bursts before hitting the dirt. He wasn't sure whether he hit him or not, but the soldiers disappeared once the flare went out anyway. suddenly the silence took over the night as Alexsey had his face in the mud.

"Hey who is out here? the soldiers are gone you can come out now." came a voice from the side of the road where the brigands were.

"I am, please do not shoot I am here to find the major." said Alexsey

"Well then i guess you just did." said the darkened body walking closer to Alexsey and then turning on a flashlight to reveal both of their faces.

"Its d#m good to see you again Alexsey. I am glad you didn't get killed in that chaotic city" said the major.

"It is good to see you too... Father..." said Alexsey.

"So I assume you have received word from the main army, so what is it?" said the major.

"General Lukanov was... he was... killed by a missile attack. They want you to replace him as the commander of the army" said Alexsey.

"Well you have got to be kidding me... but it looks like I have no choice but to head out there. It looks like that was extremely good news after all." replied the major

"What are you talking about? General Lukanov's death?" said Alexsey confused

"No, no not that, but Admiral Belyaev's defection to the rebel's side. He is an important figure who controls 2 of the 4 aircraft carriers that were in the government's possession. We can use his navy to transport ourselves to the rebel army since he is till stationed close to Ulan-Ude as far as I have heard."

"Well if that is the plan lets get going before more soldiers arrive and kill us all." said Alexsey.

"Very well then, it is possible to take the helicopter that we have hidden a mile away, we can completely by pass the city and find the admiral in the middle of the lake" said the Major.

"Sounds like a plan" said them all in unison.

"Lets just hope the government doesn't strike our army before we get there" said the major starting the walk.

Shows movements in the past week, while the box with the bars just represents the possible location of the 2 aircraft carriers mentioned earlier and a fyi since I said it in IRC, my remaining military vessels are located at the AUP naval base.

Major Lobanov, Alexsey's father who had been more of a mystery to Alexsey in his early life was now one of the most important figure for the rebels. Everything had gone according to plan, they had met up with Admiral Belyaev's 2 aircraft carriers and using them as transportation made their way across lake Baikal to the Rebel's force. The major and his son took the helicopter to the rebel army which was sitting in a now fortified position. He and his son landed at the base all according to plan, it happened almost too perfectly. The Major and his son were greeted by a few soldiers as they were directed to what was supposedly the Headquarters. Upon entering there was only one person inside.

"Hello there, you must be the major huh? I am 1st Lt. Leonid Ignatev it is good to meet you major." he said looking thankful that he wasn't going to be alone at the HQ anymore.

"It is good to meet you too, however we need to get to work right away since an army group is going to close in behind us soon. what are the numbers of our forces now?" asked the major.

"That depends, do you mean soldiers or altogether?" replied the Lt.

"Uhh lets try altogether. I am curious as to how many people we have here since I saw masses of them around as i was flying here" said the major.

The Lt. smiled at him "The numbered has swelled to unprecedented heights in that area. The latest estimate that has been made at 70,000 soldiers and nearly 250,000 civilians who have taken up arms against the government or came here in protest."

The Major had a shocked look on his face at the estimate, with these kind of numbers he could easily overwhelm the army group that they know has been materialized just miles away. "Very good, we will move immediately and flank them. We will send detachments of 15,000 men to the north and the south while the rest will rush the center and with our numbers we should overturn them in a massive storming. At the same time we will also have air strikes on the defenders courtesy of Admiral Belyaev who I already informed of this plan. If all goes well we will have a chance to defeat the second force coming down upon us from the West. If we do both of these then we will have control of negotiations and thus be able to get what we want from them" said the major.

"Very well we must inform each of the 'divisional commanders' of this plan then, the soldiers are at least disciplined enough to follow marching orders, if we can get them to move the civilians, and armed citizens will follow." said the Lt. handing the general a simple long distance radio.

The major began to give them the orders to march and filled them in on the plan. Even if someone was listening in it would hardly matter to him because of the proximity of their forces to their objective. It would take a mere day of traveling to be in the positions he had wanted.

Meanwhile, General Gosha Ponomarev of the newly formed army group, was having trouble just keeping his men in order in the first few days, it had taken much of his time to just get a battle formation in order since everyone had been just lumped together from the border guards and other detachments from around the country. It was just as bad as commanding an army of armed citizens because they were in disorder as to who was in command since they were mostly all loners in a squad that would be assigned a small section of the border. Due to so much disorganization Ponomarev was unable to move his troops even after intercepting the message that was made by the rebels. All he could do was inform them of the impending attack and wait. He did however get news from the detachment from Irkutsk, it was commanded by Relex himself and was comprised of nearly 85,000 soldiers and 300 tanks.

At roughly 7:00 A.M. the next day the two forces met, although just in a mild skirmish the battle had begun beneath a mild fog on a completely overcast day.

The attack began with a middle skirmish from the front involving relatively few amounts of men, but as it started more and more were drawn into the battle at the front. The rebels were going to use their numbers to their advantage by flanking the opposing force on both sides, but had to draw their attention to the front first and more importantly every single one of their reserves. The rebels many of them defected right from the military and so they had their weapons and most of them had kevlar vests. They were by no means a regular rebel force like the large amount of citizens they had following them. While they were going to try and draw the army into the front and surround them, there was an unexpected blitz upon them from the front. Cobra helicopters began to air strike the Rebels front, while 200 of the army's 300 tanks advanced beneath the cover with a follow up of 10,000 infantry. General Ponomarev was no idiot, and was able to coordinate his men in such an attack. However if this force was beaten he would be unable to command much of the rest of his force because they were so disorganized.

The rebels front had been bulged by the attack, but luckily for them their air strikes by Admiral Belyaev arrived just in time to stall the attack and turn the front into a stagnant one. Unbeknownst to the rebels however Admiral Belyaev's attack had cost him his life as the Military had picked up on the plan and launched a series of fighter/bomber attacks on his carriers while his aircraft were away. Both Aircraft carriers were sunk after 10 minutes into the aerial attack. The rebels got their plan to work though, the flanks were fairly weak as they launched their main assault to surround the enemy force and completely decimate it. The front got really busy as a wave after wave of civilian and rebel soldier attacks came to dislodge the Government troops. Ponomarev grasping the entirety of the situation and after 5 hours of long battle of mainly hand to hand combat decided to try and pull out before it was too late. Whoever he could reach he informed before the rear was blocked by enemy troops. the army fled the field in a chaotic way since the order was given disrupting the retreat even further as a rear guard of 3,000 were put into place to hold the rebels as long as possible to evacuate most of the survivors. The evacuation was a success for the most part even though the rear guard was overrun and destroyed. At the end of the battle the estimated casualties for the rebels was 22,000 soldiers, 51,000 armed civilians, and 32 tanks. The estimate for the enemy army group was 31,000 men, every single tank and support vehicle was destroyed or captured, and every single helicopter was destroyed.

It was a significant blow to both sides, a victory nonetheless for the rebels, but the cost of it was extremely high. the one thing the rebels had more of now were guns, and vehicles. Although it had cost them a lot of their invaluable ammunition and rations. They had to take over a city that could support their operations and they had to do it quickly. The chances of taking Irkutsk were slim to none if they had tried. The only other major city capable of supporting such a vast force was the city the rebellion was born in... Ulan-Ude.
