"Duke, I have a duty for you to attend to." Devereaux nodded acknowledging the Archduke.
"As you and your personal Royal Marines are the most solidified, and experienced paramilitary we have at the moment I need you to... tie up a few loose ends."
"Sure."
"While we fully control the Northern Island, the Southern Island is still very much under the control of the former government, or rather remnants of their forces. While they are in a state of total chaos over all (and very much divided), there power is effectively concentrated in the four major metropolises. There strongest force appears to be stationed in Nelson (which is also the second most populous city on the island) just across from here. I need you to plan and execute a strategy to retake the island which begins with that city."
"Why that city?"
"If we take it, its an easy foot hold. If we don't we have to split our forces in order to defend wellington."
"Very well, and is there any reason why this isn't coming from the Prince himself?" She paused.
"Ryn... is a bit ambitious, and general in his scope. These are handy tools in politics and overall statesmanship however, it leave much to be desired when it comes to the military. We are a team, he and I. He keeps us moving, pushing innovation and change in our approach, and I keep us steady ensuring that his innovations don't become waffling. In other words I handle these matters."
"I see..."
"Yes... that will be all then Duke." Thomas nodded and departed.
