We will deploy Peacekeeping forces to attempt to cull the violence and restore order.
EDIT:
The Empire will be mainly using our forces to help the safe withdrawal of our friends in Normandy.

The Secretary of Defense remarked "Then we had it nice and easy so far.." "Van Slingelandt turned towards him "Let's hope we can keep it that way. I have been here before- give me the executive power and the info that I need. We'll smoke them out of their holes and ask questions later !" His normally friendly expression had changed completely: "By God.." he groaned "We didn't want war- but now they asked for it and we will give them bloody war !"

"Sir--- we have had this stroke of luck" one of the policeman interrupted Den Uyl "He gave us a hideout.." "Good news at last" Van Slingelandt muttered "And where we can we find our friends ?" "Well.." the police officer responded "I hope you are in for a shock ..."

In Paris
A black banner was in the background with the trademark words of the liberation, "Liberte pour le Francais!". A man stepped up to a podium, addressing a large crowd. "People, those who gather here, we are the Committee Pour Le Restablishment ou L'etat de France (CPLRL). We hereby proclaim the state of Normandy, nonexistant. For the future of the French people, we hereby rejoin our lands with those of France!" The crowd cheered, this was their future.
OOC: Re-rolling in Asia, announcement coming up on that. All of Normandy is hereby to be given to Terethien aka France.

"Well then." Van Slingelandt mutters "Where is it ? And make it short, my dear man !" "Sir" the police officer replied "Two hideouts here in the city alone- and probably a lot more over the country... one at Huys Den Bosch-- and the other one, Sir, in the old nuclear basement below the Binnenhof." "The nuclear basement ?" Van Slingeland replied while dropped his glass "How the hell did they get in there ? "God knows sir, but that's where they are. And I am more worried about Huys ten Bosch !" One of the army officers, a young captain with curly blond hair and a mustache puts his glass on the table "Wait a minute !" Van Slingelandt looked as if he could burst out in tears "We trusted them to come home. We cared for them and gave them back their own home. To let them live amongst us as if they were just citizens like we are. Royals- they can never be trusted, right ?"
The Secretary of Defense stood up "Let's get them- the lot of 'em !"
OOC. I am pretty dead myself at the moment and I will continue this later today.

Nonetheless, we regret that bloodshed and conflict had taken the place of peaceful diplomacy. The legal Government of France is unconditionally against the undisciplined mobs and the wanton destruction that has been taking place in the region. We have mobilised our armed forces and armed police patrol the streets in riot gear. Any Norman who are displaced by the conflict may seek refuge in territories under our control; rest assured that you will be safe and well treated. Once control is reestablished, you may settle within our lands or be repatriated elsewhere according to your wishes.
We reiterate our appeal to all concerened parties for restraint.
A goblet of wine in one hand and the all-empowering remote in the other, President Alain sat in his favourite armchair, enjoying the scenes from frantic news broadcasts on no less than 4 50" plasma tvs. It was exhilarating to see the French nation rise up as one again, proud in the hour of their restoration. He had hoped to gather up his troops, most of whom had followed him since his first days in politics, and march them straight back to Paris. But his advisers were horrified, arguing that the restoration should be a peaceful process. So instead his troops were kept holidaying near the southern borders, waiting in the bases from which they fought for the rightful government's return to Bordeaux. A minor victory that is already rapidly receding into history. Then, watching as fire burnt down a shop, he smirked at the irony. Spineless cowards.
There was a shuffling sound outside, and a figure dressed in black entered. "Sir, we've received a message from our southern neighbours." With an annoyed look Alain took the report from the messenger's hands. One brief glance made his face fell. "Get me the phone!"

Thousands of loyalist troops, most of whom veterans who had fled into the Pyrenées to wage guerilla war upon invaders of France prior to the Restoration, were mobilised. Battle hardened warriors took up defensible perimeters around the mountainous terrain. Scouting units were dispatched for reconnaissance, ready to report on the approaching Kriegian forces.

"The Empire was under the impression that the Anarchists who took your nation by surprise before had rearrisen and attempted again to gain control. We did not know it was the French government seeking its land back. Our Norman allies have told us that this is not the case, and therefore we are withdrawing. However, we will give no Apology as once again, we were misinformed."

Reports of insurrection in the former Norman territories deeply concern us, however we were not at all involved and truth be told the events of the day caught us by surprise. For now we assume it is a spontaneous uprising caused by French nationalism, and since the Norman government is in complete anarchy, French government troops will now assume military rule over the whole of the country until order may be restored.
However, we fail to see how this justifies the intrusion of the Empire's armies upon our sovereign territories. Though the government have only just begun to establish proper control over our lands, the transition from Norman rule to us had been orderly. Though we appreciate your concern for the stability of your Norman allies, that does not justify your troops invading us.

With all due respect, I would like to point out the following.
1- We were told the same Anarchists had taken control. AGAIN. When we heard this, we sent in troops to cull the violence BEFORE you announced your reclaim.
2- Our Invasion was not to expand or to conquer. We were actually doing your people a Humane favor by withdrawing helpless civilians and victims of the Anarchist violence in the south into Krieg.
3- We have had troops in France since the first Anarchist rebellion. They have been there for weeks and are now withdrawing along with our Reinforcements.
We assure you that we are a reformed, peaceful, country, and were attempting to do a Humane act by helping civilians. We did not destroy, murder, conquer, or any of the above. (Except for a few fire fights with Rebels but Im sure we were doing both of us a favor by killing the Terrorists.)
We hope you understand this. If we wanted to conquer France we would have pushed into Paris before you could have weeded out the Rebels. However, we tryed no such thing. I'm sure your wise enough to understand and see our true actions. We also hope our countries can develop ties and grow in friendship.
EDIT: Also, we offer to help restore southern France by sending some workers. Large Anarchist concentrations led to warn torn cities and towns. Also, we will be happy to bring any and all French Refuges back into france at any time you wish. They are welcome here as long as they need, and will be given housing and food to eat.

Unfortunately this is not the case.

France hereby reaffirms its existence amongst the sovereign nations of the international order. While it is self evident that France have been in continuous existence ever since the Praxian Empire relinquished sovereignty over these lands, lately some may have had cause to harbour doubts. For beset on all sides by turmoil, piece after piece of French land fell under Foreign jurisdiction, and as our presence abated, inevitably so did our memory fade amongst friends and foes.
However, today the Republic of Normandy have graciously recognised the right of the French nation to statehood. With the extent of our jurisdiction marked by distinct demarcation lines, France is once again a fully fledged state in its own right. We look forward to peaceful and close friendships with our Euzkadi, Kriegian neighbours to the south and our Conti and Norman brethren in the North.
For Peace and Prosperity,
Alain Mamère
Président
