State of the Alliance
This week, the membership of the alliance has grown to 222 members with our total nation strength passing 3.8 million. Our average nation strength has dipped slightly to just under 17200.
In domestic news, two more members of the Siberian Tiger Alliance have been awarded with the STA Award for Valour for their efforts in assisting a fellow member in dealing with a rogue attack. Veraxyl and Celeb are relatively new members to the alliance and their quick response and willingness to assist was pleasing to see. Thank you to both on behalf of the Siberian Tiger Alliance for answering the call to arms and for disposing of the rogue in emphatic fashion!
The Siberian Tiger Alliance has now moved into a consolidation phase of our growth plan. Recruitment has been frozen to enable our average strength to increase and further strengthen those nations currently holding STA membership. This does not mean we are not accepting new members, just that government organised recruitment will cease for a period of time. Anyone wanting to join the STA is more than welcome to apply.
In the top division of the Siberian Trophy Bamburgh FC is in the box seat for the title after FC Tigris Altaica picked up only a point from their two games during the week. Batch has surged into second place on the back of a 4-0 away win over Mushroom Kommune. At the foot of the table a point separates the bottom three teams as they fight to stay out of the relegation zone. The Rabbs have been in hot form recently and look the most likely to edge their way to safety over the remaining 5 matches. In the Cup Division Rebel United remain undefeated at the top of the table with Team Waycool building a four point gap over third placed Archers with Lombardia FC a point further back.
The Foreign Affairs department released the second monthly STA press conference as part of our new Foreign Affairs system. With the recent drama concerning our allies in the New Sith Order it has been a useful way for the public to ask the Siberian Tiger Alliance leadership any questions they have wanted to ask about that incident and any other matters that crop up.
Militarily it was again another busy week dealing with rogue attacks on our members. Sadly, the trend seems to be for rogues to reject diplomatic resolution only to sue for peace once they realise they are not quite as militarily powerful as they once thought. I'd like to thank those STA members who answered the call this week and in previous weeks. You all gained a bit of war experience but also the respect of your fellow tigers.
The new programme unveiled last week by Jyrinx has been in place for a week and it is beginning to settle in and pay dividends. The new programme has given our members greater access to advice and information as well as created a greater sense of community. In the coming weeks and months this will become more obvious as members begin to see a tangible improvement in their nation's growth and also become more involved in the alliance by way of various competitions planned for the newly created divisions.
As was announced during the week we passed another military milestone this week. The Siberian Tiger Alliance now has over 1000 nuclear weapons to go with the 50 plus Manhattan Project wonders announced in the last edition of the State of the Alliance. We expect to see continued growth in the number so nuclear weapons and military wonders over the coming months as we have a steady stream of member nations approaching the strength level to develop a Manhattan Project and become nuclear capable.
Overall, this week has been one of continued growth yet again. With the recruitment freeze now in place we enter a phase of consolidation and hope to see our average nation strength move past the 20000 mark during this phase of our development. This week has also been one of change within the alliance as new projects and programmes went online and so far the transition has been a smooth one and the changes positive. We look ahead now to passing the 4 million nation strength milestone and should do so within weeks, all going well.
Za Sibir'!
