I don't like either of them. The first one is too detailed with the tree, the second one is boring black and white.

If I were you I would shrink the tree, add some colors and vector lines, and keep it firmly away from anything that looks like the Athens flag because the tree symbol is prominent with our theme.

Remember that your flag will be shrunk down in size. The simpler the design of the flag the better. The details will not show up when it is shrunk down. Also, take a look at this thread. It has good advice on how to design a good flag.

I have just added another poll option for what I think is an improved form of the Original Version. I did not edit anything but the shadow, which is now much less pretentious, methinks. And I'm with the majority, I think they're all a bit odd for flags but out of the three, I'd go Version 2.

I recall the old flag-making guide on these boards. When you make a flag, think of it being seen 100 yards away. f you can still make out all of the characters, it's good.

The shade [on a flag] is really dumb. Cut the shade and you'd have an acceptable flag. The black and white flag would be decent for a war flag.
