The image seen was just frankly a tad bit bizarre and it was fully possible that the Aether Empire had just fallen off it's rocker, but the image remained all the same.
Ziggy: You mean you've discovered evidence of an alternative dimensions?!
Zarfef: Well, not me, the great scientist Dr. Ivan Moldavi discovered this... I only fell upon it in my analysis of his notes that I purchased off the internet. It has the most bizarre geo-political topological properties I've ever seen!
Ziggy: What do you mean "geo-political topological properties"? I thought politics and maps were all just something made up by men.
Zarfef: Not according to the papers I found. Apparently geopolotics is intricately interlinked into space-time... but the paper fails to elaborate. It describes a map of a nation that would exist in this great-grey land. Even though it has a surface area of about 400 square miles, the map portrayed it as having a perceived size of roughly 15 million square miles! As though space and time were warped in this dimension to allow for artificial national growth through temporal distortions!
Zarfef: It also had... "other" odd topological properties. The borders of a nation began and ended within themselves as though a duplicate capitol could be found by travelling far enough left or right. Dr. Moldavi would go on to explain this as having to do with a time-space dependent national border that would reappear from the distant horizon of the previous day and stretch into the present. The physical consequences for the nation though were never stated.
Zarfef: However, it's probably rubbish, the last words say "eighteen days... the end of the world draws near." His final theory states that if a nation is not observed by the gods after twenty days, it takes on a quantum state that dissipates rather then collapses and the integral over all space for psi*psi for the entire nation becomes nill. He claims to have built a massive advanced civilization in this realm and used the powers of space-time geo-politics to form geo-political "weapons" that bent highly dense portions of his national border to form attack cannons. Like I said... its pure rubish.
Ziggy: Oh... so why are you telling me this then?
Zarfef: Oh... I was just bored.... it's probably nothing.
Zarfef throws the ancient papers that look like they came from the mid 1700s on the desk and returns to other things, leaving the great discovery of this alternative dimension for a later day.
OOC: I was playing around with the Global Map function and found this weird little trait... apparently we can place our nations off the surface of the Earth?! If they ever implement hot spots, it would be funny if they placed one out there
