Earlier today, my alliance's forums were hacked. We found out the IP being used was a proxy IP, and we want to find out if this proxy IP has been used on any other alliance's forums so maybe we can trace down who did this. Would it be okay for me to post a topic asking people to search for said IP on their forums? It's a proxy IP, so I wouldn't think it'd be revealing anyone's person information.

I'm almost certain that it won't be allowed. No IP's are allowed on the forum. You're probably going to have to give the IP to people over IRC.
