If you’re familiar with the story of Icarus, you know that it didn’t end very well. Icarus foolishly disregarded the advice of his father and he ended up flying too close to the sun. It was this that caused him to plummet to the sea and meet his untimely demise.

His descendants have lived on, however, and they are ready to return to our world and embrace the sunlight, though not too closely. They have confided in us Spartans, loyal friends of the fallen Icarus, and requested our help and guidance in ushering them back onto the stage. Their tribe is lead by a circle of five direct descendants of Icarus, and we Spartans are confident in their ability to rejuvenate the spirit of their fallen ancestor. To ensure this, however, we’ve layed out a few guidelines and made a few offerings to help them along their path.

ΠΡΩΤΟΝ

In order to maintain our age-old relationship, the Circle and Sparta agree to not initiate any acts of aggression, be it raids, wars or any form of spying against the other. Should either party commit an act of aggression against the other and the act is proven to be pre-meditated and endorsed by their government, then these guidelines are immediately suspended.

ΔΕΥΤΕΡΟΝ

Should the members of the Circle of Icarus have their wings clipped or melted by a hostile force, be it Helios, Persians or anyone else, Sparta is obligated to come to its defence. The Circle is also encouraged, but not required, to offer the same in return, should Sparta come under attack from a hostile force. Should the Circle decide to follow in the footsteps of their fallen ancestor and fly close to the sun by initiating an aggressive conflict with any alliance without first informing and seeking the approval of Sparta, then Sparta may choose not to try and save the descendants of Icarus from repeating his mistakes.

ΤΡΙΤΟΝ

The Circle and Sparta both agree to share any information that could be deemed as critical to the security of the other, like if the sun is going to be especially hot on any given day or if Persians have been spotted near their lands. Both will respect any request from either of them to keep aforementioned information confidential.

ΤΕΤΑΡΤΟΝ

This agreement shall be up for review after six months have elapsed or the Circle has passed the two million nation-strength milestone, whichever is sooner. If both the Circle and Sparta agree, it can be brought up for review earlier as well.

ΠΕΜΠΤΟΝ

Should either the Circle or Sparta decide to waive these offerings for whatever reason, they must notify the other prior to doing so. Once the other has been notified, they will expire seventy-two hours afterward. If it is suspended prior or during its cancellation, then the suspension is still valid during the cancellation period.

Wasn't he like 11 when he tried to escape from the labyrinth?

He wasn't escaping the labyrinth, he was fleeing the island. I never read about his age anywhere but the paintings/statues I've seen of him make him look like he was 18-22.

That being said, you were basically a young-adult at the age of eleven, 3500 years ago.
