I was warned by Spock for gravedigging in the Tournament Edition Open Alliance and Team Forum. The message sent to me is here

Quote

Posting in a thread over 7 days inactive is considered a gravedig; posting in a thread nearly a month inactive is an epic gravedig. This post is considered a gravedig, which is against the rules, and thus your warn level has been increased. Thanks.

I am appealing this ruling because of several reasons.

1) Numerous other posts in the same forum fits the description that Spock gave. To give some examples, this post, this post, this post, this post, this post, this post, this post, and so on. While I concede that just because the moderators have missed these posts doesn't justify my own actions, I would like to suggest it had great influence in it, which leads me into point 2.

2) Several posts within the forum are "bump" posts, that is, they hold no content other than bringing the thread back up to the top. To give some examples, this post, this post, this post, this post, this post, this post, this post, and so on. Combined with the fact that no action has been taken against these bump posts, nor have any been taken against what could be considered grave dig posts (and if you would note the time tag, these posts have been going for several months back), I had assumed that this forum fell under the rules that “bumping” threads would be okay, much like the Player Created Alliance forums for Standard Edition. Also, the thread I posted in was near the top of the first page.

Due to these mitigating circumstances, I think an appeal of the warn level increase is reasonable. However, I understand that my actions could be interpreted as against the rules, and hence I will accept all ruling on this matter.

Sincerely
Pops

I appreciate the time you took here to build your case but unfortunately have to tell you it doesn't matter what other players do, you're responsible for your own actions and you were correctly warned for breaking the rules.

I should note you also don't know anything about the warn levels of other users which is between each individual and the mod team anyway, so some people very well could have been warned for similar infractions and you just don't know it. Each case is considered on an individual basis.

You're welcome to file for a Warn Level Reduction when you qualify. Thanks!
