"While three of our states have already pledged intervention if necessary, it is a shame for us to say that it has been too late. Louisianians enjoy a remarkable degree of civil, economic and political rights and freedoms within a capitalist system. The government does not own anything but also does not step in if prices or wages are being abused. It also does not step in when the people riot against the abusers. It always works out. Violence is a way of life in southern Louisiana - and the CEOs know this. The people speak in Louisiana. And the people will speak in the SRA."
Newly sworn-in President Bobby Jindal, a staunch anti-socialist and small-government politician, already hailed as a lifesaver by ending the war with Tahoe as soon as possible after the assassination of former-President Huey Long, made a long speech in an open location today in New Orleans. Recently picked as the new capital of the United States, it seems only ironic that the first major tension in between states comes from the leader of this state. Jindal continued his speech, where he described the thought and will of the people as the thought and will of the government for the most part, and in the end he came down to this:
"You will release all prisoners related to the riots, you will lift martial law, lift the ten-person-per-meeting law, and the curfew. You will hold freely-held, independently checked elections and you will, by God, agree with them."
He stepped down and went back to his Generals. They were already mapping up a plan to shut down the SRA government in private.

OOC: I thought JFK was President?
On a related note, JFK hasn't started moving to New Orleans yet -- and it's not because of his reluctance to leave his beloved Boston.
Oh, and Sarggy...let Arkantos do his RP. It would be interesting to see how that turns out.
