Soooo....I recently started playing CN again. I've been gone for about 2 years I would say. Much has changed. Much hasn't.
I felt like catching up on some history and found this page on the Cybernations wiki. http://cybernations....f_Cyber_Nations
Needless to say, this history stops at about the time I stopped playing.
Someone needs to grow some cajones and write what has happened since August 2007 so I know wtf is going on.

To be honest, I wouldn't mind someone writing a quickie asap. Professionalism is great, but this is a free internet game. I'm sure someone on these boards could write a basic history since 2007 in 10 minutes....maybe 30.

Well that history ends just before the Unjust War.

So basically:
September 07: Unjust War - GOONS, \m/, TPF, MK, etc vs NpO and like a whole bunch of other people. ~ (NpO's coalition) basically demolished the Unjust Path. \m/ and GOONS were annihilated. End of the Initiative's reign, followed by a brief period of uncertainty before One Vision and Continuum are formed.

December 07: Continuum is formed, consisting of NPO, IRON, MCXA, TOP, Gremlins, Old Guard, NATO, TPF, Sparta, Valhalla, FOK and MHA. They were the largest bloc in history and Continuum + direct MDP allies equaled around 60% of the game's total strength.

January - August 08: Continuum and BLEU (NpO's bloc) spend this time wiping out various alliances for a variety of reasons. GPA, NADC, GATO, FAN, CIS, GUN, IAA, off the top of my head.

June-July 08: Sponge becomes Emperor of NpO again, a short time later declares on FIST, the MADP partner of his MADP partner VE. Everyone ended up pissed over that + various other stuff and it culminated with the NPO-NpO MADP being canceled.

August 08: A massive coalition called Coalition forms and takes out NpO, MK + allies.

August 08-April 09: Vox Populi spends this whole time fighting a forum war with NPO. Gradually NPO retreats as public opinion turns against them.

April 09-Present: NPO attacks OV and the world goes crazy. OV's allies and their allies and their allies stomp all over NPO and what remains of Continuum.

And that's the relatively unbiased summary of my time on Cybernations, which coincides roughly with the time you've been gone.

Man, they both missed the best part; there was this great alliance formed in February called Playboy Mansion Socialites. It was run by the owner of a prestigious, grungy strip club in NYC, he played for fun and PMS stayed pretty neutral but got into small wars about every 4 weeks. Before he got fed up over the conflicts and left, he had his dancers create nations and a few of them gave some free cam shows in exchange for financial aid. A couple of CN players were even invited to his club for a VIP evening. Those were the days man.

I sort of support your summery. It is basic and leaves rooms for more details. You can also put in, "Need more details." so people don't have to write something from scratch.
