The Chesapeake Accords
Article I: Non-Aggression
The undersigned agree to adopt a mutual doctrine of non-aggression and will pledge to abstain from any aggressive activities that might threaten the other. Aggressive activity shall be defined as any military engagement that isn’t directly provoked by a violation of this treaty, spying, blockading, or any act intended to cause harm.
Article II: Optional Defense
An attack on one party of this signature creates an independent reason for war that may be used to enter. Whether or not a party to this treaty enters is up to the discretion of the un-attacked party.
Article IV: Economic Assistance & Trade
Both parties agree to mutually lower tariffs on specific goods, or eliminate them entirely as to promote trade between both parties. Both parties are encouraged but not required to offer economic assistance in whatever needed form to the other if requested.
Article IV: Sovereignty
Both parties pledge to respect the sovereignty of the other, and will not make any attempt to coerce the other into an act that it would not normally do under its free will.
Article V: Cancelation
If either party wishes to terminate this agreement they may do so after privately notifying the other signatory forty eight hours prior to public announcement (OOC: RL Time).
