Johnny Apocalypse Posted May 12, 2009 Report Share Posted May 12, 2009 (edited) A very delicious announcement from Ether and MFO Evening all, Ether and MFO have been on very good terms after several nights drinking in Pub NOIR, and late night after-parties at their place and our place. We decided that we'd take it to the next level. So I present to you, our creation, our lovechild after many nights drinking. Our one and only TOAD(Treaty of Optional Aggression and Defense) This Treaty has no name because there are too many awesome ideas to choose from, and we just decided to go to the bar instead and get drunk and celebrate. Ether and Mr. Fixit Online both hereby recognize and agree that there is a state of Optional Defense and Optional Aggression between them. Article 1: Non-aggression There shall be no hostilities between the signatories, whether be it verbal, textual, or hot flying pixels. While this is a given, it is necessary for official purposes. This includes, but is not limited to the stealing of information and spying on each other. Conspiring against each other is just lame and won't be tolerated. Article 2: Intelligence In friendship, both signatories agree to aid the defense of each other by at least sharing any information that could be vital to their well being. So like, if they know you are coming for one, they will tell the other. Sorry, but thats what friends do... they have each other's backs. Article 3: Optional Aggression and Defense The nature of this agreement is to test the strength of friendship between both signatories. Should either signatory get caught up in a little scrap down a dark alley way, then the other signatory is highly encouraged to defend their drinking buddy, and if either signatory begins a bit of a punch-up, say they spilt his beer, or starting flirting their girlfriend, or heaven forbid making jokes about his mother. The other signatory may assist in this aggressive act. Thats what friends do. Friends know each other well enough to trust the judgment of one another. Article 4: Aid If either alliance has approached the bar and is short on money, the other signatory will agree to buy him a drink. Because there's nothing worse than being sober. Article 5: Upgrades This agreement is always open to improvement as our friendship continues to grow. Maybe we can include manditory beer pong night... Article 6: Cancellation If this agreement just ain't what you thought it would be, then both signatories have the right to cancel it. Out of respect and honor, both signatories will uphold a certain peace for no less than seventy-two (72) hours. Two excellent alliances tying closer relations causes ripples in the treaty web force that attracts attention. I used the dark side of the force rather than trying to out-mogar Mogar. No. Thanks for your input, you'll note this treaty contains an optional aggression clause that NOIR does not include, we could just dive in and go all out MDAP, but that would be silly wouldn't it. Any ODP or MDP contains optional aggression in it, whether it's stated or not. Just look at NOIR. So, once again, this treaty changes nothing. Maybe as far as you are concerned it changes nothing, but as far as we are concerned it marks a significant point in the relationship between our alliances and that it may advance further in the future. To be fair it is pretty small compared with the other clauses, so I'll let you off for that one. Ether and MFO are alliances of our word and as such something as simply as a TOAD holds an MADP weight with both our alliances. True friends don't need to be officially obligated to heal each other.
