Today, from the steps of the Reichstag, Interior Minister Hans Blackbird and Premier Krivvya Nezynev of the Southern Communist Association announced that after laborious negotiations, that the Government and the Communists had reached an accord.

"We have finally found a mutually satisfactory arrangement that allows for the end of the persecution of the Left Wing Politik while not having to sacrifice our core values and fundamental beliefs." said Blackbird.

"The Empire has entered a new Golden Age of learning, cooperation, and mutual respect for the varying political flavors of the country." replied Premier Nezynev.

It is believed that the Imperator had been a major player in the discussions. "He was very open to ideas. He held firm to his values, but was willing to be flexible. I was pleasently surprised, given his past record towards us." explained Nezynev.

"These are not the mindless Red savages of years past. They are far more open-minded and understanding. Easier to work with. It will take time to heal old scars, but I am fully committed to this process." stated Imperator Rukia in a Telegram from Nordheim.

Helstaad Prison, Lusakheim, Imperial Province

In the next step of the dismantling of the Red Revenge Doctrine, the Interior Ministry has been tasked with shutting down the 'Political Insurgents & Deviants' Wing of the Vaen Helstaad Maximum Security Internment Facility, commonly called Helstaad Prison. The majority of the inhabitants of PID Wing are those convicted of minor crimes such as Public Disturbance in Relation to Politics, Disturbing Government Proceedings, and other such crimes which have since been taken off of the books.

"The old Commonwealth had a horrible record of arresting dissenters, Red or otherwise. It is my goal to erase these State Crimes and institute a true reform of the Imperial Justice System.." explained the Imperator.

Other inhabitants of PID Wing not eligible for release include those convicted of Political Crimes of a more violent nature, looters, etc. As well as members of Transvaal's SNP party, whose platforms are, to quote an Imperial Warder: "Just asking for trouble.
