MikeTheFirst Posted April 10, 2009 Report Share Posted April 10, 2009 FOK Announcement Dear citizens of Planet Bob,We’d like to let you know that 48 hours ago we informed the New Pacific Order that we are cancelling our MDP with them. And now you want to know why. Well, the short version: FOK and the NPO signed a treaty shortly before the Continuum was formed and from that time on we have been partners, but never friends. We thought that would change over time, but there was almost no contact between our alliances and a lot of the NPO policies (regarding FAN, MK, GATO, signing important treaties without giving much notice, perm-ZI for players, etc) weren’t very popular in our alliance. After we left the Continuum, there was very little to bind us anymore. The NPO came over for a Q&A, but their answers on the policies mentioned earlier only reaffirmed the idea that there was very little common ground between the NPO and FOK. In our final discussion on our forums about it, it became clear there was virtually no support anymore for the NPO. FOK was no longer prepared to meet the obligations in our treaty and this resulted in the decision to cancel the MDP. So there you have it. For the ones who see it as a sign of the Apocalypse: we still wish Pacifica the best, we just don't see eye to eye on some basic CN issues, so it's better to part ways.
