The Vatican has released a statement to Christian leaders around the world informing them of his proposal to unite Christian churches around the world currently working indivually to one central authority, The Holy See/The Vatican. The government leaders of the nations containing churches that have been contacted will also receive a copy.

Letter from The Vatican

To whom this may concern,

This letter outlines the proposal, as writen by The Holy Father, the Vatican's Holy Union. This union would bring all churches together as The Church under the central authority of The Vatican. This plan would immidiatly create direct communication between all churches, & potentially work as a type of embassy where Holy Diplomats would reside (possibly Priests) maintaining contact between The State, The Church, and The Vatican. A more orderly and unified Christian era is at hand, where our faith can be focused to make a global difference. In the healing love of our Lord, the Vatican Pope imparts his Apostolic Blessings.

God Bless You

Gino Moretti, Archbishop of Antananarivo and cardinal of the Catholic Church of Arctica, will be in attendance to represent the interests of His Holiness Bubba XIII if His Holiness was not present.

Accompanying him will be an Arctican diplomat. While Arctica believes strongly in the separation of church and state, they have decided his presence would be beneficial at the meeting. He will observe and comment as needed.

Speaking tentatively for the Marchar people, and with connections to The Hansa, Keeper Luis De Luit has sent representatives, in the hopes of procuring priests and a Cardinal for the Pacific Region.

The simple fact that another theocracy has risen is enough fact that it should be at least fettered, as all sane people know that religion is a massive destabilizing influence, and 'comes down to my imaginary friend is better than yours'.

Still we think it refreshing that people believing in a benevolent omnipotent, zombie that will save you with the power of his homophobic, sexist, racist, and totally intangible and unquestionable father have risen to government office.

How long they will stay is a hot topic at Aotearoan bookies.

Archbishop Peter Lonergan will attend on behalf of the Taeunas Catholic Church.

OOC: Wasnt it Karl Marx that said "Religion is the opiate of the masses."

Neo Olympia wishes to know the policy of this church on religious tolerance.
We are a multi-cultural nation and we have some requirements for religions to accept before they are allowed to establish themselves.

They must accept that church and state are separate entities in Neo Olympia and the role of a church is one of moral advisor and nothing more, religions hold no legislative, judicial or executive power over the government.

They must also be tolerant of the existence of other religions.

Clergy subject to directives from foreign powers are ineligible for public office.

**Not an official government statement.**

The cardinal of the Norsvean Catholic Church, Archbiship Midgar Rathør will be attending. We would be glad to attend a meeting held by a more sane Pope. We found Bubba to be rather strange.

Pope Paul VII has proposed only more contact between Church and State as seperate entities. While The Church (all Christian churches worldwide) would essentially answer to The Vatican. By this, The Vatican could instate common laws in which The Church would abide by. Dealing with any criminal activity within The Church would fall apon The Vatican.
Also, Vatican City is planned to house a population of around 2000 at its height, meaning once Vatican City is built, and after residence begin to settle in, the small population even at its most, would not provide nearly enough revinue if taxed for the maintanence of The Vatican City, and Papal expenses such as plane trips around the world, defensive vehicles transporting important Vatican figureheads, training and arming of the Vatican Elite Guard, and paying Vatican workers. Clean-up of the current radiation damage, and radiation itself creates a crippling financial issue. So The Vatican, like the churches under it will rely entirely on donations from church-goers and others who wish to donate. Making The Vatican and The Church effectively under the control of the donaters. In more exact terms, if The Vatican & The Church fail to uphold the obligations taken up, the people could in theory cut funding and block The Vatican from continuing. This is believed to be the best plan for ensuring The Vatican remains "operational" while continuing to put its donated revenue to productive use.

A flock of pilgrims will be attending the event, after becoming interested in Christianity from talking with a group of foreigners. They may be interested in starting up a branch of Christianity in the future. Travelling with them will be a group of Confucianist diplomats, who wish to meet the Pope and discuss the future.

Archbishop Cardinal Patrick Wood, Patriarch of the West and Minister of Religious Affairs in the Tahoe Republic regretfully must decline this invitation. The Roman Catholic Church of Tahoe has striven to maintain unity while recognizing that the International Church has gone into an irreversable decline.

A Communique from HRH King Raymond II of Minilla Island.

To Our Holy Father;

Your Holiness, as Roman Catholicism is the Official State Religion of the Royal Republic of Minilla Island, it would be without question that the Roman Catholic Church in our land bows in fealty to the Holy Father in Rome and the Hole See. To add a point, our nation, via the Constitution of 1924 and in the Holy Defense Accords as authored by my Great-Grandfather, HRH King Joseph I, gives special privileges and status to the Church and the Priesthood that serves her. Please be assured that this will not change now nor in the future.

Our Nation is at the service of the Holy Roman Catholic and Apostolic Church.

Regards,
HRH King Raymond II
Royal Republic of Minilla Island
