Effective immediately, the United Nations has begun the process of merging with the Roman Empire. The leader of the United Nations, Naon Matrix, recently approached us asking about a potential merger. He knew that the United Nations was too widely disdained in the Tournament Edition community to sustain itself. The government was falling apart, members were being raided, they are mocked on the forums, and now there is civil war. The members of the UN were suffering needlessly, and their leader knew this. After initial reluctance, we have decided to step in and proceed with the merge. We do this to ensure that the members of the United Nations can grow, prosper, and have a good round in an alliance that is more established and ready to support them.
This will not be a joint merge into a new alliance by both parties. The United Nations is, en masse, joining the Roman Empire. We will continue to use Roman Empire laws and policies, have Roman Empire government (we may include promising former UN members), and be ruled by a Roman Emperor. The United Nations will cease to exist, and will instead become a fully integrated part of the Roman Empire.
The Roman Empire has two major goals for this transition: first, to teach the members of the United Nations how to fight and be respectable members of a proud alliance. We will wash away the stigma of having been a member of the UN, and turn them into proud Romans who will stand before the world ready to fight in defense of their alliance. Second, we want to give them an alliance and leaders they can be proud of, and rely on.
For the duration of the transition, the United Nations is under the protection of the Roman Empire. We ask that our allies inform their members that the UN is now a part of the Roman Empire, and we would like to inform all other alliances that attacks on the United Nations will be met with force from the Roman Empire and our allies.
Please direct any questions to myself, I will be happy to address them.
