===Private===

"My Emperor, CJ Entertainment has released a film on old Joseon."

"Hm? Of the Civil War I presume?"

"Yes Sire."

"Well, let me see it then."

"At once."

===Movie/Flashback===

Ruins of Seoul, Kingdom of Joseon, Thirty Years Prior

A shell exploded some ten meters to his left. Another to his right. Yet another landed a meter behind him but didn’t go off. Thank God, a dud. Prince Kim Jaewoo picked himself up from the group and steadied himself with his rifle. Rebellious warlords had managed to tear apart the already fragile Kingdom of Joseon that had been working to reunify the peninsula. That plan had backfired with the death of King Kim Seongbeom two months ago. The Kingdom had since fallen in a seemingly endless spiral of decay and destruction which had culminated to this. Warlord Choi Mingi had rallied enough support from minor leaders and had marched upon the already war torn Seoul. Surrounded on three sides within a month, the Royal Army of Joseon crumbled fast under pressure. Prince Jaejoon had managed to rally the faithful back to arm and had driven the warlords out of Seoul when another warlord, “Lord General” Rhee Yeontaek, had brought up his army and launch another assault on the capital.

For days the Royal Army had fought as hard as it could be were driven out step by step from the city. Soldiers and civilians alike made for the port city of Incheon which was still firmly under the control of Royal Forces. Ships waiting to take them far to the south, to the Taipeisi Empire, were there. Jaewoo had tried to talk his brother into fleeing but to no avail. Jaejoon was determined to fight to the last breath. A handful of Jaewoo’s guardsmen still lived. Roughly speaking, Jaewoo had about of a company under his command—some seventy men, some of them no older than sixteen. Even if he died doing it, Jaewoo was going to get them out of here.

The radioman spoke up. “Sir! F Company reports heavy fighting in Gangseo-gu!” Jaewoo spun around. “Confirm that. There shouldn’t be any enemies near Gangseo-gu!” The radioman nodded and spoke into his set. “Confirmed sir. K Company reports enemies in Guro-gu as well.” Jaewoo kicked a piece of rubble as hard as he could. “Damnit! They’re trying to surround us. Get in touch with any companies around us, we’re going to make a drive out of here before they pocket us all in the city.”

With that, Jaewoo began leading his men in a charge to get out of Seoul before he was trapped in.
