Leaders of the world,

Recently I was able to have personal correspondence with many of you, though I understand many states may have been overlooked and for that I apologize. However, my government in celebration and in honor of the countries that aided the Hansa during her darkest hour and to extend our arm of friendship and peace to the rest of the world. I, Sarah Tintagyl, would like to invite all heads of state, their families, ambassadors, state officials and other prominent citizens of the world to the Diet Palace in Helsinki to the "La Rejouissance" A celebration to celebrate the new peace and the hopes of eternal peace and stability to Europe and the rest of the world.



I had addressed all leaders in a series of letters and inside was an invitation to this event, please make haste for I would love to see the leaders, who helped my nation survive into this very day and age, in person and to offer my sincerest thanks.

As follows Hanseatic hospitality, there will be a great feast and the ball will commence in the Viennese Style with plenty of dancing, music and toasting. Of course this will be an extremely formal event, so please dress your best. Please arrive whenever you see fit and the ball will be underway. I hope to see you all here and may we have a wonderful night under the clear sky above Helsinki.

Arriving in their best Royal Regalia were Chancellor Salaj Dierdorf, accompanied by his wife Sharonne, Larsa Solidor, and the enigmatic Lord Elric von Vulfshden.

After an uneventful trip from the airport, the four made their way up to the Diet Palace.

The Administrator himself departed Sofia in a Banshee VTOL craft, not the most inconspicuous of vehicles. With him, he took a woman he had taken to dating, a news reporter by the name of Anastasia Petrova.

OOC: Obviously not trying to advertise that thead, just an explanation of how they met.

OOC: Lets just assume that this is after the duel

IC: Baggs turned his boat as sharply as he could, making sure that the the brunt of the force of the sea wall would go across the greatest area of the boat. With a loud crack, the boat slammed into the wall, tearing its wooden body to shreds, leaving the clean, silver sports-car skidding across the ground, across the grass, and into the busy highway. He sped along, weaving in and out of traffic, as to show the true brunt of his favorite toy that he got to use only so rarely. Several blocks from the celebration, Baggs slammed on the brakes, letting his car screech into the small parking spot, only inches to spare above, and in front of him.
He stepped out of the glistening car, wearing a cleanly pressed suit, freshly shined shoes, and a fresh, new bag. As he began to walk out, he slammed his fist against the trunk, and began his short walk to the party.

The Banshee touches down just outside Helsinki, dispatching its inhabitants. The Administrator and his date wak down the ramp, he dressed in a sharp and stylish black tuxedo with a white tie, and here in a black and white, knee length dress. They walk arm and arm into the building.

Back at the landing site, several Soviet marines amble about, tending to the military craft.

[Firestorm]

Vice President Song Lee arrives, or it should be said that Vice President Song Lee arrives in the wake of his wife's arrival. Both are well dressed in the traditional fashion of their culture.



With Vice President Song Lee and his wife is President Firestorm. It was decided by President Firestorm to allow the Vice President to arrive about ten minutes before himself as the majority of the interaction between Hansa and Boomtown occurred during Song Lee's short stint as President. Firestorm's wife had earlier returned to Boomtown citing the excuse of, "I'm going to kill my husband if I have to listen to him grouse about being on vacation."

President Firestorm is dressed in full uniform, with cane due to his recent injuries. His Aide-De-Camp Friday bears a few small gifts for Ms. Tintagyl as well.

Two Altean helicopters, A1(We have flying steak sauce ) and A2, one carrying the President and the other carrying the Vice President, along with their wives and security details, will touch down shortly outside of Helsinki. We request troops on landing to escort the President and the VP to the ball.

Sarah's personal quarters

"You really think this is a nice dress Esa? I never thought that I looked very good in gold."

"Please Your Excellency, you look the part of a modern politician if I've ever seen one. Almost royal in fact, truly marvelous."

"You think so?" Sarah said putting on the last of her make up before standing up and looking at herself one last time in the mirror. "I was always a fan of parties and balls when I was younger. Which really wasn't that long ago now that I think about it." She went to the door and could hear the voices of the European and world guests beginning to arrive. "You think I should wait before going out there. Karl said that I should wait until most of the guests arrive."

"I don't see why you would. The important guests are here."

Sarah turned around and glared at her attendant. "Stop it. You know I don't like to talk about that with people."

"Of course Your Excellency." The attendant bowed. "Shall I tell Minister Mechtenhiem to announce your entrance?"

"Yes. Tell him I'll be down." Sarah said taking a deep sigh before walking out the door to where Karl was standing at the foot of the grand staircase.

Music for the arrival

The lights dimmed for a moment in the grand ballroom of Diet Palace as Minister Karl Mectenhiem walked to the edge of the staircase. "World leaders, esteemed guests, ladies and gentlemen. I would like to welcome you all to Helsinki's Diet Hall for this celebration of peace and stability. It is my pleasure to now present the hostess of the evening. Prime Minister of the Hanseatic Republic, Sarah Tintagyl.



Slowly, the Prime Minister walked into the light and then down the stairs towards where the guests looked at the nervous girl. She walked down the stairs quaking slightly then with more confidence, smiled at her guests as she reached the ground and took the hands of many of the leaders and her guests.

Vice President Song Lee, President Firestorm, and Aide-De-Camp Friday stand as Ms. Tintagyl enters the room. Mrs. Song Lee whispers, "Oh what a lovely dress."

Larsa and the others smiled as Sarah was introduced and entered the Hall.

"Stunningly beautiful, as always milady." he said with a curt bow.

Administrator Nevsky, still standing arm in arm with his date, surveyed the Hansan. He was an observant man, and detected her nervousness. Nothing noticeable really, just the slightest of off mannerisms, invisible to the non military intelligence eye.

As she passed down the line he sook her hand, not wanting to cause an awkwardness by acknowledging he knew, "Very good to see you, Ms. Tintagyl."

Sarah began to blush at the general's comment. "General Solidor. As usual you are the eternal gentleman." The Prime Minister continued to walk forward until arriving in the center of the room as a microphone was brought to her so that her soft voice could reach all the guests that had arrived. There had been a larger turn out than she expected.

"Ladies and gentlemen. You have no idea how grateful I am to see you all here tonight. Tonight, we come in honor of peace and stability in Europe and hopefully the world. Many of you here helped defend and save the Hansa from a cruel fate from the ravings of a nuclear madman and together I made many friends and allies that I'm sure that we will never truly part. Tonight, my officials and cooks have provided the best food that could possibly be provided." As she spoke, various carts were brought in to the many tables, serving steak, chicken, and lamb along with a plethora of sides and wines. "I ask now that we start dinner so that we can get to the dancing even faster. My table is of course open for anyone who would like to dine with me so that we may better discuss matters of state over a bottle of Pinot Grigio." She turned to the orchestra. "Maestro, dinner music, please."

While the others took up positions at another table, Larsa more than readily took Sarah up on her open seat. Sitting, he had a simple Roasted Lamb Breast, with a couple of sides, and a glass of the Finest Wine the House had to offer.

Nevsky took a seat at the further end of Sarah's table next to Anastasia, preferring a dose of Vodka to the fancy wines of the evening.

Being in Europe already, and having just finished with the birthday ball for erik (seriously what happened to that?), Prime Minister of Dranagg Edward Re, and his Fiancee Catherine Tarii arrived at the ball. Edward arrived in a formal black pinstriped dinner suit, and Catherine had chosen a strapless black dress and long black gloves. The only odd note is that Catherine only uses her right hand for everything, but otherwise they look to be a perfect young, probably political, couple.

President Firestorm whispers to Vice President Song Lee, "Good lord man, all future events like these are your responsibility."

Vice President Song Lee's wife whispers harshly, "Behave, your wife gave me instructions."

President Firestorm sighs and sits down to eat. Vice President Song Lee, inscrutable as always, says nothing and sits down as well, but on the inside he could only smile. Aide-De-Camp Friday takes his position to the left of of his President and he is smiling broadly. Of course, when you have been in the service for the same person for nearly twenty years you can get away with it.

"I'll say one thing, the food is superb," observes Aide-De-Camp Friday.

"Now only if the President of our great nation could behave more like his Aide-De-Camp," sourly observes the Vice President's wife.

President Firestorm says nothing as he enjoys his meal. It certainly has out of date field rations outclassed in terms of quality and taste. Besides, he has been ignoring his wife for about thirty years, so it isn't to difficult to ignore the wife of his Vice President.

Sarah sat down and looked over her table, surrounded by friends and fellow heads of state the nervousness began to wear off, after all, she had made her speech for the evening, now it was time to relax.

"You know gentlemen, I really do appreciate you coming here tonight. I'm not just trying to be nice." She took a sip of the wine. "And believe me, I need this party. I just made a trip to the Andonian fleet this morning to monitor what's going on out in the harbor. I don't think things have calmed down here since the end of the Nordland War. Personally, I feel like a broken record, saying peace, peace, peace over and over again." She chuckled. "But enough about Europe, Administrator, I hear that you sent a letter to one of my university professors and I can't thank you enough for doing so. And how are things going on in your own countries?"

Baggs sat down, and puffed out a large cloud of smoke from his bag before ordering.
"Filet Mignon, Beurre blanc sauce, mashed potatoes, asparagus, and a Manhattan, up."
He waited a moment and leaned toward the man taking his order, and whispered, "I'm smiling."
The confused waiter stepped back, and hurried to bring Baggs his order, mostly to see how he would eat it.

" Things in Altea are going well. Our economy is stronger than ever. Rumors are going aroung, however, that we will soon be withdrawing from South Arabia, the area we have taken control of's new name, by popular vote of the international community."

[Firestorm]

President Firestorm nudges Vice President Song Lee and whispers, "Oi mate, that's your cue."

The Vice President says to Ms. Tintagyl, "The nation of Boomtown is secure and prosperous ma'am. We currently are engaged in the eradication of the Zombie menace in Diberia. Our hopes and prayers are with those soldiers, and those same hopes and prayers are with Hansa as well."
