Poor Free Radical. I got to know them a bit while HAZE was in development. Couldn't have happened to a nicer group of blokes.

Hopefully, they'll find a way to make TimeSplitters 4 work. TS:FP is my favorite console-based FPS, hands down.

It WAS being handled by Free Radical, but their studios recently closed.

Quote

With Free Radical's closure, the status of Star Wars Battlefront III is unclear. Unconfirmed reports have it being taken over by Rebellion Software, maker of Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron for the PSP. Prior Battlefront console games were developed by Pandemic Studios.

I'm pretty sure they were trying for PS3, X360, Wii and PC, though.

That's good. Hopefully I won't have to pay 400+ dollars to buy a system to play it on.

I might pick this one up seeing as I didn't pick up the last 2, but always wanted to.

Certainly looks cleaner than the last two. Hope the story is fleshed out properly, otherwise I might as well break out I and II.

Seriously? It has seamless ground-to-space, for one thing.

It does? As ground maps and space maps are combined?

Yes, the battles are FAR bigger in it. Watch the linked video it shows it.

With ground and space battles together, we may see multiplayer that breaks the 64 player standard and goes up to 128 or more. The maps certainly look big enough to do so.

Hopefully they've fixed the enemy A.I. so that they won't run around like chickens with their heads cut off. Seriously, everyone in BF2 had their own mission, apparently. You could be on one side of the map and another several guys could be somewhere else nowhere CLOSE to you taking a CP.

And they've actually fixed most of the Jedi/Heroes. Most of them were broken as hell.

Looks pretty cool. Hopefully they will have a more lengthy campaign.
