On Scene Reporter: Hello Forvenge, this is Saul Tøllem with your special report. Overjosk Erik Betrakte will now make his first State of the Nation address, signaling that he has completed setting up the government. He will give a rundown of how our nation will be run. I think he's about to get on stage.
((As if you were a reporter))
You sit down in the magestic Akershus Festning Conference hall. Before you stands hundreds of international reporters, standing before the stage. You can barely make out the black podium on the left side of the stage with the Forvengesk seal on it. To the right of the podium sits Minister Niko Akesson, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prime Minister Alve Nordström, and Militayrmarchall Gundar Forsvare. On the far left of the stage, a sickly, middle-aged woman sits in a wheelchair. You can hear the buzzing of people talking and a few coughs. Otherwise, the room was quiet.
Finally, Erik Betrakte walks onto the stage from the left side. He stands to the podium, his youthful face addressing the audience. Erik sighs, knowing that his was going to be his first public appearance as a world leader. He did not wear a suit. He wore a large, open, green jacket, white dress shirt, and jeans. Hardly formal. He looked over the audience; they were silent. He had commanded their attention.
"Reporters, Citizens, and Politicians alike." So far, so good. "I am now what you may call the Overjosk, or Overseeing Monarch of Forvenge. I would first like to announce that our government is fully set up, and it's head is Prime Minister Nordström. Some of your foreign ministries have already applied for embassies. Niko is getting right on that.
I would also like to say that this is an underlying victory for the worldwide political party known as Distopya. In the transcaucasus, we were the party. In the Baltic, we were ran by the party. In the hudson, we were ran by former members of the party, yet taken over by a madman. And now, I am glad to be in the company of Distopyans, in what I am calling the ultimate victory.
It has been years since our exile from scandinavia into East Iberia. The city of Stor Bokstav on the mountains of Renstad, the city of Reise on the Baltic, and the city of Fohldense on lake Winnapeg. It has been a major reise, or journey, for us. This will be a new day in history for us.
I happened to be one of the lucky ones. My mother and I were on every journey. The original, the first exodus, the attack by Nordland, the falling into anarchy, and the journey here. I continued the Distopyan faith within myself. I hope you all will too.
In conclusion, I would like to add that I am relieved for finishing the government by this time, as I am coming of age on thursday."
He then stepped down from the stage, turned around and went back up. Onto his last sentence, he added, "Ladies." Laughter could be heard through the auditorium. Erik was then seen walking over to his mother, who only whispered, "I'm so proud of you."
