There was a deep debate going on in the Council Hall of Dragonisia. The council was split half and half again.. this time.. over which wonder to complete.

Treasurer Matthew Simmons: "We have the funds to finish up part of the work on the 3 part structure we are completing. We could finish up the Stock Market, the Great Temple, or the War Memorial."

Maelstrom Vortex, Chief of Council noted, "We have a split vote on how to appropriate the funds between the Stock Market and the Great Temple. I could toss my opinion in, but I am myself undecided.. so we will allow the people to pick. I'm going to go around and start asking our people, 'Which is most important soul and character or profitability.' and we will see how the results come in." Privately Maelstrom favored the temple, but he didn't want to break the support of half of his council which had some measure of democratic representation.

MilCom Exectuor Anthony Davis noted, "Wise decision. How long will this poll be to do?"

There were some murmurings of, "Fair enough, sounds like a good idea.. " from the rest of the group.

Maelstrom noted, "I'll just walk through downtown tonight and ask ten people at random and we will reconvene tomorrow and I will cast my vote."

Davis nodded, "Sounds good."

The council was then suspended for the evening to return to their homes as Maelstrom went for his walk. Ten random people.. ten random parts of the city, that was his goal. He only walked with a light security escort. The night progressed with out little serious incident as he collected the opinions. When the vote was in, it was as he expected. The predominantly Christian nation.. in the midst of the Christmas season.. had chosen 8/10 in favor of the Great temple. Demographics would be the key to building the correct one. The nation was predominantly members of the Church of Christ.

#### The Next Day at the Council ####

"Survey is in. I'm voting with our people in favor of a Great Temple, dedicated to the worship of Jesus Christ. We will complete it and dedicate it on Christmas eve." And he cast his deciding vote. There were cheers in the room.. among both opposition and support. Simply because the will of the people was being done... and the nation was about to finish its first major achievement. The Council Suspended with only that one item addressed that day and a national state holiday was declared for all government workers in Dragonisia for the day. In effect, there was a national celebration/party. One or two of the council was even reported as going home under escort, "a happy drunk."

#### Public Press Relese ####

A few example Headlines:
From the Daily News, "Merry Christmas Dragonisia. Here's your Present!"
From the Banker Magazine, "Dragonisian Council favors Theocrats over Capitalists!"

General gist of the articles:
In an early morning Vote, the High Council overturned its original support of the Dragonisian Stock market in favor of early completion of another section of the 'Great Memorial'. When asked about the reasoning behind this move, Council Executive Maelstrom Vortex was quoted as saying, "When it comes to a Memorial, there is nothing more important to this nation... than remembering the souls of the lives lost. It only makes sense our people would want to complete the temple first rather than the Stock Market. The temple will occupy the main ground floor of the Memorial, will serve 200,000 people at capacity and house up to 5,000 of the needful in our nation. Once it is complete, work will resume on the Stock market Section.. and then finally, the most critical piece of the construction and most delicate, the Great War Memorial will be built which will partly originate within the Great Temple itself and extend to every floor of the structure. Unfortunately, our nation has many war dead. Every central wall of the structure will be marble with the names of the lost inscribed within. Anyone who wishes to remember the lost who works or prays within the walls of the structure.. will only have to venture a few hundred feet from where they work to get a reminder of our nation's most troubled times, treasured heroes, and the price of their freedom."
