Preamble
This treaty binds the three major nations of Southern South America (hereby referred to as SSA) into a military and economic agreement with the aim of harnessing the power of said nations for mutual benefit, economic growth and military defence.
Article I - Membership and Sovereignty.
i.1 - The three founding members of this treaty are:
Josh the Great of the Dellian Empire
Fanz Ferdiand of Lubeck
King Esus of the Democratic United Kingdom of Sassain
i.2 - Additional members will have to demonstrate their location within SSA or demonstrate a significant interest in the region. Existing members will vote on membership.
i.3 - The three nations retain their full sovereignty as sovereign entities.
Article II - Principles on which the treaty is based
ii.1 - The signatories share a common interest in the peace, security and prosperity of their region.
ii.2 - The signatories will work to uphold their belief in both the freedom of nations and the freedoms of individual citizens within those nations to movement, political and religious affiliation and economic gain.
ii.3 - The signatories will work to resist imperialism within their region of foreign powers, this includes working to remove colonies and outposts.
Article III - Economic integration
iii.1 - All signatories shall have an open border and free trade policy towards each other. All commercial ports will be made available to all signatories.
iii.2 - Freedom of movement will extend to the peoples of SSA having the right to move between the three territories and work without hindrance.
Article IV - Mutual Defence
iv.1 - All signatories will provide mutual support and defence when required. Intelligence and military information should be shared between signatories. If one signatory is attacked by another nation the other signatories must come to it's aid.
iv.2 - If a member nations is attacked as a result of an aggressive act, even if by way of a seperate treaty, military defence by the other signatories is optional, although humanitarian and other aid should still be provided.
iv.3 - The Signatories of this treaty also agree that their respective military facilities are to be available to each other unless the nature of that base is deemed classified or extremely vital to that signatory's national security.
Article V - Other obligations of signatories
v.1 - If any signatory ceases to exist it lands and territories should go to the other signitories by default.
v.2 - In the event a signatory wishes to withdraw from this treaty they may do so by informing the other treaty signatory. When that occurs the treaty stays active for a further 48 hours and is then nullified.
There is also a separate discussion to involve Nova Imperium within the MDoAP (Articles I, IV and V) but not other parts of this treaty, i will let Nova post to confirm under what circumstances he will be happy to sign.
