Would the real John Rowe please stand up?

Other than that, it looks like scientists are realizing what everybody else already knows: sitting in front of a computer all day rots your brain.

At least one 19-year-old Internet enthusiast gives Small's idea a mixed review. John Rowe, who lives near Pasadena, Calif., spends six to 12 hours online a day. He flits from instant messaging his friends to games like Cyber Nations and Galaxies Ablaze to online forums for game players and disc jockeys.

Sweet, some recognition.

We should mount a rescue mission for this person :)

Also, I am hoping they will actually discover something useful from this line of research. Looks pretty immature at the moment

Hey, I actually am John. If anyone doubts it, ask the NpO and I have e-mails!

My friend was interviewed for some Sociological artical, and the reporter asked if she had any "gamer" friends, needless to say, I got the flag, and was contacted.

First a 20 min phone interview, and we just talked. I explained all about what you saw, and of course went into more depth. I DID give him links (to CN, GA, SK, different alliance forums, different DJ forums, different websites) and MANY other things, and he just picked CN and GA.

I am kinda bumbed he didn't share some of my anicdotes about how CN and GA have given me friends from around the world, and that inporves your social skills even more, because you have to be friends with people from different cultures.

Next person to impersonate me gets a swift kick to the e-mail nuts, as i send e-mails from my interview, and PROVE you are full of lies!

I showed him the link. I already got a free Preimum from Chick (GM of Galaxies Ablaze) but it really doesn't matter to me. But of course I have brought it to his attention, I may not care if i get the reward or not, but I'm not an idiot.

;-P

Until now I was still having a tough time believing it was you. You have to understand that people have tried to prank me with similar things. One example was an email from someone claiming to be Joe Klein from Time Magazine where they said they wanted to do a story about Cyber Nations but wanted an account with nukes to test everything out with. They passed back and forth several emails and took the whole thing pretty far so I decided to write the real Joe Klein at Time and he wrote me back saying

Joe Klein said:

It’s not legitimate. It’s bullshit.

So you have to understand my initial reservations but I trust you now. If you want to use this as your link offer we will accept it.

;-P

Like i said, don't care about the reward. If it means new players, then that's more players to send me tech (i make almost 9M post bills 300,000 is sneezing money)

No I mean, what drove him to find it? That's not exactly something you come across on mere coincidence. He had to be looking for it, but who looks for mentions of CN in news articles?

How do you spend a day playing CN?

Collect taxes, pay bills. Maybe buy some things and bomb some people.

Twenty minutes max.

My name is George W Bush

I want to see if this game is a threat to our nation's children, but I need an account with nukes to test it out first.

*notes he already has nukes*

I need an alliance with nukes.
