*Screen Fades into an Imperial Citizen sitting in front of a desk*
And we're back. We have a breaking story today. Reportedly, inside the Imperium of America, a disturbing religion has begun to arise. The 'Imperial Cult' worships the Imperator as savior of the People, as well as a living representation of the will of God. The Imperator himself is reported to be 'Flattered, and yet totally disturbed.' The Imperial Cult is reported to have gained roughly 21% of the populace as members, with more converting every day.
Catholic and Christian officials alike in the Imperium do not give the new Religion much credit. "We are sure that the Mother Church will prevail regardless of a 'fad' from the times. Christianity has existed for a long time in Central America; it will persevere."
The Imperator had this to say on the matter:
"Honestly, I could care less what the people want to believe in. I myself am a Christian, but that doesn't mean I have to force my beliefs on others. So, feel free to listen to whatever gospel you want. Besides, wouldn't that be an awful lot of pressure on a person? God-on-Earth? Sheesh. Please, knock me down a peg if my ego ever grows that large."
Imperial Armed Forces are reported to have the highest percentage of Cult Members within any organization, reported to be hovering around 94%. Nobody can deny that this up-and-coming religion is a force to be reckoned with.
For Sports, a kitten was lit aflame and tossed out of a moving vehicle. More when we come back.

The Administrator made a public broadcast into every home of the Eastern Union:
"Some of you may have heard of this Imperial Cult. For those of you who have't, it is a group of fanatics who are worshipping the Imperator of the Imperium of America as a god.
Pay no heed to their dillusions. They are a group of fanatics bordering on psycopathic and seem to be exhibitting a form of hallucination. Should any of you be tempted to join or be contacted by a member of this cult, ignore them. To allow them to spread is to allow a cancer into the rest of the world. It is a dangerous religion. Mark my words, it will one day seek to conquer others to its will, and ultimately the will of th Imperium, whether the Imperium wants it or not.
We wary, be vigilant. Evolve above the trends and remain steadfast in your loyalties to your true religion, whatever that may be, and to the state.
Thank you."
Regular broadcasting resumed after the Administrator's message.
Edit- Grammar.

This is a disturbing development. We commend the Imperator for publicly disclaiming it.
Personality cults are a very dangerous theology, moreso than any of the already established religions.

The Tennessee Federation agrees with this statement.
OOC: It totally screwed over the French Revolution that's for sure.
