OOC: Okay, so here's the story. If it is "...Unclassified...", you know about it. If it is "...Classified...", you know about it OOC and not IC. Since my tech level is around 3,000 tech (or the year 2019 using LVN's equation), this is all pretty reasonable stuff. No supersoldiers, no powered armors, no superplanes, etc.

HLONS, for those who aren't weapons geeks, is a directed energy weapon system currently in use by the U.S. Army in Iraq. They are mounted on "Zeus" HMMWVs and are used to dispose of explosives and IEDs from a safe distance. The HLONS-II system is the next-generation system in my armed forces, which is a bit bulky, but it can be safely mounted on heavy vehicles like helicopters and tanks. It is limited in the number of firings AND...most importantly...the weapon does NOT destroy the vehicle; it only weakens the vehicle's armor on the molecular level to soften it up to standard weapons fire. Perfectly legal, considering the YAL-1 is 2002 technology and the HLONS is 2008 technology. This is just projecting a potential future use of the technology. It is not a Star Wars "laser cannon" or Star Trek "phaser"...its a directed energy beam weapon that heats

As you can see, I have not posted my air force. I simply have not finished the force composition yet. Any aircraft listed here count toward my squadron limits: (F-22X, F-23X, F-35X). All other aircraft are not fighters proper, such as the A-10C, which is a close ground support aircraft, and my helicopters.

Electronic Warfare System (EWS):

Consists of various radar and sonar jammers and electronic countermeasures; F-23X and AH-64X equipped with an Active Denial-of-Control System, which allows these craft to uplink to SatComm Special Warfare and hack into most aircraft which rely upon GPS-based navigational systems to reprogram their course and, if necessary, force the plane to land. Weapons are disabled when the ADCS is online, since the uplink and processing power necessary to utilize these systems consumes a great deal of the craft’s energy capacity. Anything with the “X” designation is considered to have this suite of radar/sonar jammers and electronic countermeasures. The Commonwealth of Wighton has completed a major active-tracking RADAR system. These systems will be based on HMMWV units, which will be accompanied by towed anti-aircraft missile systems and a number of Bradley vehicles. They will be deployed from the 8th Support Battalion in Wighton proper and from the 4th Mechanized Infantry and 6th Armored Cavalry Battalions based in the New African Territory.

Additionally, the Commonwealth of Wighton has completed the Strategic Defense Initiative, a combination of anti-ICBM/missile systems based on the ground throughout Wighton and on the land of the Wanatet Corporation. The space-based portion will be launched soon and will be under the joint control of the Commonwealth and Wanatet, covering the entirety of the Indian Ocean and shared with the Ferrous Pacific joint military command. The land-based portion only covers the territorial waters and sovereign land of the Commonwealth and of Wanatet. Land-based coverage does cover the New African Territory.

Finally, two carrier battlegroups as specified in the NIMBY defense commitment thread have been deployed as part of a NIMBY joint naval task force to patrol the Indian Ocean.

All other units are operating under DEFCON 2 conditions, as is standard operating procedure following any major diplomatic or military conflict. Regular air, ground, and sea patrols are being made at frequent and regular intervals.

The Commonwealth of Wighton is deploying the 4th Mechanized Infantry Battalion, the 6th Armored Cavalry Battalion, the 18th Heavy Armor Battalion, and elements from the 13th, 14th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th, and 25th Battalions to Shanghai, to be given further orders upon arrival.
