While most of the citizens of the Commonwealth hail from a Protestant tradition, we do have a number of Catholics and Catholic churches throughout our nation.

As such, the Commonwealth of Wighton, after discussing the wishes of the Wightonian Catholic community, does hereby recognize Pope Bubba XIII as the rightful Pope of the Catholic Church.

The Protestant community, while they do not recognize the Pope as the head of their respective churches, offers their well-wishes to their Christian brothers and sisters and to the Pope.
