The evil of Apple and increasing technological advances

Using ipods as an example, I remember in about 2003 or 2004 when everyone was "ZOMG! ipod ftw!" and looking back they were pretty lame. About 3 1/2 years I bought an ipod shuffle which was only 1GB. Then about brought out the smaller 1GB shuffle, and now it seems as if there is a 2GB shuffle which is the same size. I got a nano last year for my birthday (13 months ago) when they were only about a few weeks old. It was 8GB. Guess what? Now there is a 16GB smaller nano (I think it's smaller) and you can shake it like an ipod touch so it goes to shuffle.
This is so annoying. I realise I could do with a bigger ipod but not wanting something that takes up more space-time (for running). But I know as soon as I bought a new one, a few weeks later they'll probably release an iphone nano touch super deluxe awsomeness muhahahaha! and then give it a couple of weeks it's got more capacity and can cook you food.
So it kind of defeats the purpose of waiting a few weeks/months for something new as you may as well wait that same times again to get the next best thing. But wait! for if you wait since you first started waiting you will have seen 3 or 4 better things go by you.
I know the people at Apple are evil and only want our money and sould, but it's just annoying as hell.

Another evil thing they do is there is no universal itunes store. So I have to fork out more money in the UK and some stuff I can't find on both the US and UK version.

iTunes for buying songs? FFS mate, use limewire or torrent albums.

It was around the time when papers in the UK were saying that internet providers would dob people in. Wasn't sure what else to use as limewire is dodgy and torrents can be traced. So I just get the audio from youtube videos. Quality isn't great but it isn't terrible.

Eh...not when you aren't ignorant of things. They are pretty insulting to the intelligence of people who know their way around PCs, hence why I find them extremely irritating.

Anyway, Apple is now evil because they give people lots of choices? Unless releasing an updated somehow makes your iPod stop working, I don't see the problem. It's only that you don't have the zomg new thing. Do you know what I replaced my original iPod with? A Touch. My iPod worked perfectly fine for two years and I never felt the need to replace it. The only reason I even got a Touch is that I lost my iPod (long, involved story).
I'm really not seeing the problem unless you're just upset that someone somewhere has something better than you.

Don't get to involved in technology. Suprisingly it works.
If there is something you don't want, don't buy it. If something looks cool, wait a few months until they've fixed the bugs and lowered the price before buying it. If something works to your satisfaction, don't replace it. When buying a phone, ask yourself if you actually need the features. 10 to 1 you'll say no and buy something half the price.
This explains why I have the second cheapest phone I could get (the cheapest was like £4 so I didn't think it would last) and wouldn't have replaced my old even cheaper one if I hadn't washed it by mistake. This also explains why I don't have a portable music player, and haven't upgraded my computer for a few years.

Not the PC ones, I mean the iPod ones with the music.
@Foggers - my mate in England torrents and uses limewire for a lot of music, the odds of you getting caught are very very very very very very very slim.

Eh, that's different. iPods are alright, I guess. I have a 4 gig nano, not sure if I'd buy another iPod in favour of something else.

Knowing my luck though....
The thing that annoyed me is that it's like "oh, ipod nano we can only squeeze in 8GB." and I thought well okay shouldn't be too bad. I'll try and make do. Then next year it's "yeah! 16GB nano in a smaller space!", although I wonder if they spent the whole year making it but would think it would take longer.
Although to be fair it's not as if I listen to every song all the time.

Anyways, keep in mind that only buy what you NEED, that will reduce the stress of trying to have the best iPods in the market. If you use only about 1GB to 6GB for musics, get a 8GB one, not a 16GB one.

The tortured souls of crippled orphans work well, but they are just SO HARD to obtain with current laws.
But yeah, eventually we will get as far as we can go with current materials.
