At 2:13 A.M. local time, off the port of Vlask, an Eggman Imperial Coast Guard fast response cutter, the E.I.C.G. Scanner, intercepted a yatch believed to be smuggling a varient of cocaine known as "snow." The yatch attempted to flee. After firing two warning shots, the Scanner disabled the yatch's engine. The smuggers on the yatch opened fire with small arms and an RPG. The captain of the Scanner ordered his crew to open fire with an Mk 19 Grenade Launcher mounted on the deck. Several grenadges hit beneath the bow line, eventually sinking the boat. The smuggers fought to the death.

"Snow" smugging has become a problem as of late. Small cabins in the Eggman wilderness house drug labs which create Snow. The thing that seperates Snow from Cocaine is the chemical structure allows Snow to be added to liquid. It is shipped, and when it reaches it's destination, the liquid is evaporated, leaving the "Snow" behind in a sticky paste. The paste is dried and crushed up back into powder form, with no potency lost. Fortunantly, Snow tainted liquid can be detected by putting it through a simple drug-testing machine.

Rest assured the Eggman Empire is currently working hard to destroy the drug trade inside it's boarders.
However, countries around us (Especially Forever Battlefield) should be on high alert for suspicious transports hailing from Eggman Empire.

Imperial Wellington wonders why the coast guard did not open fire immediately. We have eliminated drugs from our nation by the simple expedient of shooting all drug craft that reach our borders.

However the 100% drug craft intercept rate can be overshadowed by the 100% craft intercept rate.

We have also eliminated most of the drug smuggling by raiding or destroying smuggling ships, arresting drug smugglers to find more info about the drug smuggling activities, and shooting down smuggling air planes.

OOC: o_O

Just pointing something out, nearly all drugs that are smuggled are usually hidden within a larger shipment of another product, such as food.

To HHAYD and LVN, above is the reason that E.I.C.G. ships do not immediately open fire. The ships may or may not be carring something illegal. Plus, all ships have standing orders to take smugglers and drug runners alive if possible. You mentioned trigger-happiness will be relayed to our merchant fleet as...a precautionary measure.

Imperial Wellington refers you to our laws.

Quote

Historically, the borders of Imperial Wellington have been defined at "All lands within the Imperial Right". This is an arbitrary area inside which there is the Right of Imperial Wellington to Possession. This has formed the basis of land claims for over 100 years. Violating Imperial Right by entry of persons without Imperial Citizenship carries the death penalty, able to be carried out without a trial by any citizen.

There is no 'trigger happiness'

The Commonwealth of Wighton would like to commend the interdiction of smugglers on the high seas.

Due to the geographic nature of our nation, our small islands are frequently used by smugglers and pirates as hideouts and our Coast Guard is frequently rooting them out.

Promised Land commends the Eggman Empire for their effort

OOC: Oh, and the spelling is yacht, not yatch. ;)
