Imperial Navy commisions the new Jewel Class Aircraft Carrier

Jericho - After years of intensive Research and development the Empire has commenced it's first Aircraft Carriers. The Jewel Class. From 2 different Ports at 2 different sides of the Empire the pride of the Navy makes it's power known to the world. Capable of carrying 4 Squadrons per ship and armed to pose at least some Defense if not escorted by it's Taskforce.

With this addition the Navy has also been divided into 2 Fleets each operating within their designated realm.

The Western fleet perhaps the biggest is to cooperate with Gebiv in protecting the Adriatic and individually the part of the Sea linking the Southern provinces to Mainland it consists of the following Ships.

• 1 Jewel Class Nuclear Aircraft Carrier
  
• 1 Andromeda Class Submarine
  
• 2 Jericho Class Battleships
  
• 2 Apocalypse Class Destroyers
  
• 2 Centurian Class Cruisers
  
• 1 Joseph Class Frigate
  
• 2 Mesic Class Landing Ships
  
• 2 Slobodan Class Corvette

The Eastern Fleet a smaller but still strong one to work individually at protecting Phoenician interests in the Black Sea and the Eastern Coast. It consists of.

• 1 Jewel Class Nuclear Aircraft Carrier
  
• 1 Andromeda Class Submarine
  
• 2 Jericho Class Battleships
  
• 1 Apocalypse Class Destroyers
  
• 1 Centurian Class Cruisers
  
• 1 Joseph Class Frigate
  
• 1 Mesic Class Landing Ships
  
• 2 Slobodan Class Corvette

As the Navy now has the ability to send Aircraft a new Corps has been established the Imperial Naval Air Corps also known as the Naval Air Corps At this moment it operates 8 Squadrons consisting of F-22's.


Christening of the IPS Jewel on the Adriatic unfortunately know pictures of the Ceremony in Josephgrad was not available.
