Hello Bob. As you know, Rossiyskaya has changed names to The Rossiyskayan Empire. The bill that changed the name of Rossiyskaya, also included a clause to hold an election for the Imperial Council. Today, I announce the election opened, and candidates have already sent their fees and a letter of candidacy. The following candidates are up for election into the Imperial Council;

Conservative Party Candidates:

Pavel Grachev
Alexey Boldyrev

Liberal Party Candidates:
Dmitry Maslov
Leonid Vasilevsky
Igor Yesav

Green Party Candidates:
Semyon Kevik
Ivan Govorov
Matvei Batitsky

Libertarian Party Candidates:
Sergei Petrov
Joseph Krylov
Aleksandr Shein

Anarchist Party Candidates:
James Northcote

Totalitarianism Party Candidates:

Candidates are going to campaign across the country and rally support for themselves, and hopefully win the vote for Imperial Council. 10 seats are up for fulfillment in this elections. Outside countries are also encouraged to pledge their support behind any candidate.

Onward to other matters. Today, on light of the change of government, I have decided to choose a new Imperial Council of Ministers. The new list of ministers is as follows;

Minister of Finance - Aleksey Orlov (new)

Minister of Defense - Nikolai Bulganin (kept)

Minister of Internal Affairs - Boris Seleznyov (new)

Minister of Foreign Affairs - Alexander Rutskoy (kept)

And finally, the last announcement. Today we have founded a district system for Rossiyskaya, and declared a state legislature.

Conservative Party Candidates:

Josef Franzenk - From the Salek Oblast, this candidate believes in an extreme tax cut, lowering the tax rate from 28 percent to 10 percent, in every household. Believes extremely in pro-life ideologies and plans to abolish abortion.

Pavel Grachev - Also from the Salek Oblast, Grachev believes in a lenient pro-life agenda, such as making abortion legal but restricting it to 4-month pregnancies only. Believes the tax rate should stay the same, although wants to cancel further foreign aid packages to small countries.

Alexey Boldyrev - From outside of Rossiyskaya, X'ian Empire. Candidate has little support due to his foreign heritage, but believes in pro-life and also wants to lower the tax rate.


Liberal Party Candidates:

Dmitry Maslov - Pro-abortionist from the Volgograd Oblast, believes in tax increases in small amounts and wants to restrict the number of children Rossiyskayan families have.

Leonid Vasilevsky - Also Pro-abortionist, believes in no change in taxes and wants Cristf Kozyar out of office.

Igor Yesav - Has no definate position on abortion, but leans toward pro-life. Wants an open-border policy put in effect and wants to cut military troop levels in half.

Green Party Candidates:

Semyon Kevik - Former member of the Wiedgerbert Non-violence Uprising in Rossiyskaya, believes in abolishing the military and cutting out nuclear power/use in the future.

Ivan Govorov - Believes in the legalization of marijuana, wishes to use geothermal energy instead of coal/petroleum as a main source of fuel. Wants to abolish the judiciary system of Rossiyskaya and make all trials a citizen run function.

Matvei Batitsky - Uses dirty grassroots campaigning in his campaign, has a past drug convection on his record. He believes in having no Russian government, but wants Slavic people to run the country.

Libertarian Party Candidates:

Sergei Petrov - Wants to abolish the government, making the council the main governing body. Exiled from The Proxian Empire in 1990, wants to close all foreign relations with T.P.E.

Joseph Krylov - Wishes to also abolish the government, but wants the people make decisions that benefit them and theirselves only.

Aleksandr Shein - Former believer of Ubersteinism, wants a central body running the country, other then the council. He has not released any other information about his campaign.

Anarchist Party Candidates:

James Northcote - Former rebel from Wiedgerbert, wants to abolish the government and military, and declare war on any country that makes fun of his last name.

Totalitarianism Party Candidates:

Yuri Khrushchev - Believes in a state funded and state run economy, uses dirty propaganda to slander his opponents, even his own party.

Konstantine Andropov - Believes in no-free speech, also wants a state run economy and the use of terror tactics in the military.

Vladimir Gorbachev - Exiled citizen in every country except Norse Turks, Vaule and X'ian Empire, once threatened The Russian Empire to blow up its capitol. Under investigation, and his campaign has been suspended.


Today, voting starts. Citizens flock to the polls in the thousands, in the first election of The Rossiyskayan Empire.
