BCS Rankings

Personally, I am required to say GO LIONS!!!!! Proud Penn Stater here, and i couldn't be happier with PSU's place in the rankings, undefeated so far, and looking good. Had some trouble games, but still came out good. Definitely looking like a second half team, we suck at the beginning of the game. I have student tickets this year, and the home games have been simply amazing. My favorite so far has been against Michigan, our rivals, who have beaten our team for over a decade. Seriously the loudest thing I've ever heard was when we got a safety to put us in the lead, it could be heard a good distance from the stadium. So I think that PSU has a great chance this year, and I am loving it.
Feel free to share your thoughts.

I go to Georgia tech, so it's pretty obvious who I'm cheering for. Paul Johnson has really done a lot of good for the team this year, especially for having such a young team. Our last big test this year will be Georgia, other than that we shouldn't have any more losses. VT needs to take another one for us to go the the ACC championships though.

Colt McCoy is just... wow. He's getting everything done whenever it needs to be done. And his passing accuracy? He's currently beating the NCAA record by nearly eight percent - 81.2(!) vs. 73.6, set by Daunte Culpepper. He's the Heisman frontrunner and deservedly so. Jordan Shipley, Quan Cosby and Chris Ogbonnaya aren't flashy, but they're certainly doing their part in keeping this offense going to perfection. On the other side of the ball, Brian Orakpo is a complete monster on the defensive line and Will Muschamp has ignited the fire within our defense - it's a shame either Auburn or Tennessee will probably try and pick him up as head coach in the offseason after flopping so bad this season.
But still, we're in the middle of a ridiculous gauntlet here: Oklahoma-Missouri-Oklahoma State-Texas Tech, are you kidding me? And there's still the game at Kansas two weeks after Texas Tech. Then a Conference championship two weeks after that. The upside is, however, no one will be keeping us out of the title game if we win out.
Hook 'em!
Also, USC's overrated. Badly. Here's hoping Oregon State wins out to get the Pac-10 Championship and the Rose Bowl invite.

I know. Had me sweating for a while. Great game - best of the Red River Rivalry/Shootout in recent memory by far.

I'd put that PSU team up against your Bama team any day.

Florida said the same thing about Michigan last year. LOLOLOL That worked out really well for them! (Yes, I know Michigan sucks this year, and yes I agree the SEC and Big 12 are better at the top, and have been better for a while now)
Ohio State has been an embarrassment in their bowl games (and again this year against USC) however. But I've always considered them overrated. Last year the hype was ridiculous, I was laughing the entire time they got annihilated. Had Michigan had a healthier Hart/Manningham/Henne last year, OSU would have lost to Michigan and wouldn't have been there to begin with.
Penn State this year looks great! It would be awesome to see them do well the entire season and surprise everyone in a big bowl game.

Geaux tigers... if only Jarrett Lee could stop giving the other team a guaranteed 7 points a game in the first half we would be set.

Ohio State will beat Penn State: why? Penn State can't defend the spread. Review the Michigan game, sure Penn State won, but until late, the Lions were anemic against Michigan's turnover happy and poor excuse of the spread. Ohio State is good, but I still wonder how good. We won't know how good they really are until this game because, though many point to the USC, Troy and Ohio games as the Buckeyes showing poor play, it was obvious that they lacked wells.
LSU beats Georgia
Georgia is injury bitten and has been showing lack of play since the Bama blowout, they are nowhere near the second, let alone third best in the conference. LSU, Florida, and Bama easily are better, but it is the SEC, and the best team rarely ever wins it.
Texas blows out Oklahoma St.
The only way OSU can play is if the horns don't play any defense, otherwise Texas will destroy a psuedo top 10 team
Bama loses in Rocky Top
Insane, yes, but the Vols love to lose to teams they should beat and beat teams that should run them over. Vols will always have talent and Saben's bunch best be warned not to overlook a team with its back to the wall
Side talk: only Texas or Penn St. have legitimate shots at an unbeaten title, but I see them losing games they should win. Also I see USC in the title picture, but then loses to UCLA or Notre Dame as they are on the door step

I'd love to see that. Who knows, maybe Texas will lose and we'll win out and the voters will overrate the "Big" 10 for the THIRD YEAR IN A ROW and we'll get to see it. If not, see you in '10.

Don't count on it. We overlook generic teams we don't care about... no Alabama or Tennessee team will ever overlook this game, no matter how bad the other may be. Both teams will show up to play, and that's an almost certain Alabama victory. If we play a four solid quarters (which we haven't done this season, but usually do on the Third Saturday), you'd be hard pressed to find a team who could beat us, even if they bring their A-game as well.

Thing is we build up so big a lead early on that the second half is irrelevant.
