While I can't say ODN takes any kind of threat lightly, I've seen several "joke-targets" in other alliance's irc channels... It seems to me that in this situation LSF took what seemed to be a joke to be... a joke... Following the nuclear attack which did max 2 mil in damages, all of you other alliances are jumping at LSF's throat! So much for your show of nobility! Everyone makes mistakes and this was a very easy one to make!

Sound like a lot more than 2 mil to me. Unless a nation with only 500 infra, just got nuked. I mean, I suppose it is possible with a nuclear rouge who kept his nukes, after he was brought way down, but highly unlikely. phh 2 mil my ......

First off, OIN and LSF had an MDP, LSF betrayed them by not relaying any of the information over, and Red was a new member to the alliance, it shows LSF's bad leadership skills.

unless a VERY strong LSF member got nuked ALOT and kept one of his nukes until he was only like 5k NS, then there is no possible way it only did 2 mil in damages

So you never been nuked? Thats the only way you could possibly think that 2 mill would cover it.

You also have to count lost income due to economic destruction.

Let's do some math here. Redterror attacked RZ for 2 days. Ground attacks - maximum 80 infra, CM attacks - maximum 30 infra, Bombing runs - maximum 80 infra, Nuclear attack 150 infra which gives a grand total of 370 infra damages if RedTerror managed to cause maximum damage.

Also, RZs trade set up is not meant for infra buying, therefor his infra cost will be inflated (I can't see anyone at his size buying infra with that trade set up).

Why should the LSF, thinking it was a joke, have to relay this to our alliance?
RedTerror first "joked" about attacking Acamas in a public forum in a heated discussion where Acamas was trolling their forums, the membership, including others who saw that topic, believed it to be empty threats. Like when Craig and Demokratikos threaten to attack each other in public, as well as then, in private.

well, as your new to the game, I'll explain.

Nuke rogues are hated by everyone. Therefore urging on a nuke rogue is a serious offence, far more than you make out.

Also, the slow response time, some unhelpful diplomatic actions made their situation much worse.

The payments may seem large to someone your size, but they are not as huge as they might sound.

True, an alliance the size of LSF could very easily repay these in several days if they wanted, but if reps were to be made, strecting it over a week would be better.
