I tried WoW once, but didn't like it. At least not enough to pay ridiculous monthly fees.

People will cry murder and say x or y class is overpowered because they get some of the new super abilities at lvl 70/60. x and y will get nerfed and z and v, who didn't get the most awesomesauce abilities, will be buffed. When the expansion hit the servers z and v is ridiculously strong compared to x and y and x and y has to wait half a year to at least be somewhat competitive in raiding or arena.

EDIT: Class m will be so bug ridden that core mechanics will first work as intended in a year, but being balanced with the bugs it will be hpeless at anything.

The patch went wonky on both systems I was installing it on, so I had to delete what Blizzard Background Downloader had received and bittorrented the patch.

So far, so good. I'm hoping WoWMatrix gets up again so I can get my addons back in, like the new backgrounds, but I haven't gotten into the meat of the mechanics yet. From what I'm told, three ret pallies and a shaman can 4-man Kara. Should be entertaining.

I've got a Holy-spec pally I need to respec when I get home tonight to try out Beacon, and I specced my rogue this morning for Killing Spree. I'll be able to test them out tonight, I hope. You can tell they got pressed to release this patch before it was ready.

I stopped playing WoW almost exactly a year ago and I haven't even been tempted to go back. Except to rip off the guild bank. Does anyone know whether the GM can set a limit on how much gold / items you can grab per day?

Yes to both.

My wife and one of the people she levels with guild hop, and check to see if they can rip off guild banks if they don't like the place. It's shown me that I have no respect nor sympathy for those who get their gbanks looted.

There are precious few times I agree with Lamuella here, but this counts as one of them.

Oh, and WoW is over-priced in the monthly cost.
