Security had been tight for the latest state visit to Beijing. The Emperor had sent out and invitation to the United Democratic Capitalist Republic to send its representative to Beijing for a Friendship Conference. The Emperor had also invited the other members of the Sovereign Initiative's ambassadors to sit in on the talks.

Lining Tiannanmen were Imperial troops and the newest Imperial combat vehicles from light to heavy as an impressive display of the Empire's cutting edge military forces. The troops stood at attention as they say limousines bearing the members of the UDCR delegation. An Imperial Marching band began to play the anthem of the UDCR as the caravan approached up to the Great Hall of the People and men came up to open the doors of the limousines.

The Foreman of the UDCR exited his limousine, and walked slowly up to the Great Hall of the People, surrounded by his secret service. Several Republican troops also marched behind him to help to secure the area.

The Foreman stated that he was very impressed by the show of Imperial military might, later stating that this was probably the greatest gathering of military force that he had ever seen outside his own nation. He hummed along to himself the national anthem of the UDCR as it played in the background. He started up the stairs of the Great Hall, as the anthem ended and a military salute sounded in the background.

The at the top of the steps, the Imperial Clerk Lu and Imperial Marshall Huang walked down the steps to greet the foreman. The Emperor watched from behind a tinted window. Even in heightened security he generally did not go outside into an open area like Tiannanmen.

The Imperial Clerk extended his hand, "Foreman, welcome to the Beijing. I am Imperial Clerk Lu, top aide to the Emperor this is Imperial Marshall Huang, follow us inside, the Emperor is very eager to see you." he said with a smile.

The Foreman was greeted with a warm reception by the Emperor's top officers. The Emperor remained inside, and the Foreman took notice of his reluctance to leave the Great Hall. He later stated in a private interview to General News, "[The Emperor] came off as a very nice man, but also a very intelligent one who feared for his own safety." It is safe to assume, then, that the Emperor seeked some sort of increase in relations to improve the security of both nations.

Upon being greeted, the Foreman was escorted inside by the Emperor's top aide, and his Imperial Marshall. The Foreman brought with him two Republican soldiers, and his secret service. The remaining Republican troops took positions in front of the doors and windows.

The small commercial taxi was shunted away form the conference room multiple times until it became clear that Imperial Wellington's ambassador was in it. it was whisked up to the gates of the hall, looking very out of place alongside the limos. A tall, stately man with grey hair stepped out and entered the hall, quietly moving to his seat.

The Emperor saw the ambassador from Imperial Wellington enter the conference room. He walked up to shake his hand. "Good day Mr. Ambassador." he said.

As the Foreman entered into the room, the Emperor walked over and shook his hand as well. "Foreman welcome to Beijing. This is our good ally the ambassador from Imperial Wellington. We are eager to discuss many matters with your particularly regional security."

Ambassador Francis Brennan will attend the meeting. He will not participate in the meeting unless Tahoe is brought up, but seeks to begin a relationship with the UDCR

Wiedergeburt Secretary of State Alexei Braxis arrives in Beijing. He brings with him 100 gallons of the famous Wiedergeburtan maple syrup, compliments of President Stukov.
