Well now that Governor Christ is selling the sate to private investors to keep from raising/adding taxes, we're doomed. Toll roads owned by capitalist?! Look what's happened to the gas prices for crying out loud!

I'm telling you, the state will be corporation owned soon.

Sucks for Florida. Maybe toll road price freezes are in order?

I don't know. I liked Bush (the governor, not his big brother president) more.

I'd say price freezes would be in the best interest of Florida commuters. Now I've never gone over a toll road when I visited Florida, so I don't know how much of your paved surfaces are tolled. I've been over the New Jersey Turnpike, that was a nightmare.

Well a good number of our roads are. The way it works atm is a major road is built and a toll is placed to pay it off so as to not add to taxes. Once payed off, ether the toll is removed, making the road free or it's lowered to next to nothing so that the gov't can still make a profit. With this, tolls would go as high as the capitalist wanted and anyone who tried using the roads w/o paying the high prices would have the FHP on them.
