I'm really confused about what happened here. I disappear for a day and come back to find my account banned, despite not breaking any rules. I'd like to request an unban and an explanation, if possible.

Since I can't edit the OP, I'm going to reply with another question. How did I get 20% added to my warn level when I never posted without a nation? This whole situation really makes no sense.

Also, I realized that it looked like I was posting in an "angry" manner up there, and I would just like to state for the record that I am not trying to give off that vibe. I'm just very confused about the situation.

Premise:
ITT as banned member Jonathan Brookbank doesn't have access to the other Forums; ITT as Guest, while he can browse them, he won't be able to use the Search feature.
As I instead have access to the search feature in the forums and I remember something about that episode, I am able to shed some light on this (and to have him and the Mods spare some time and - possibly - an headache).
In all honestly, I tried to send a PM to JB, but apparently Banned users can't receive PMs. As I can't think of other means to contact him (I don't know him personally), as I have no idea of which Mod will handle this, to contact him/her in advance, as threads in Moderation are generally locked after a Mod answers in them, and as creating a new thread on this would have probably failed as an attempt to "help without breaking the rules", I finally decided post here.

I am fully aware that this is a NDF and that I will have to eat a +20% warn for this... *shrugs*

Since JB has deleted his nation he has not made a post on these forums. Given the way these forums have worked in the past his account is not subject to warn or ban unless he posts with out a nation or comes back and violates the rules.

l am going to overturn this warning given the lack of posts after deletion of your nation. If a player posts with a forum account having no corresponding nation--or, of course, with a nation but without having requested a forum name change or anonymous forum account re-roll to make sure the names match up--then a warning and ban should be put in place. If a player simply fails to request a ban upon leaving the game then the account should be banned without a warning, and a note applied to the account that the player has banned for that reason.

Since I am overturning the ruling completely you are welcome to apply for a WLR as you qualify at your earliest convenience. Thank you very much for your patience and understanding.
