When trying to purchase border walls, it will only allow me to input 1 at a time.

This evening I had 9 slots available.

Tried purchasing 4.

Error returned was:

Quote

You have received an error trying to view a page. Here is the detailed error code: You selected an invalid purchase amount for that improvement type.

I was and am able to purchase all the way to 5, one at a time, even going over the limit to a negative slot.

Not a big deal, but thought I would see if others had the same issue or if it was something with my nation.

Also, just remembered, in my last war I attempted to destroy either barracks or gorilla camps, possibly both (I do not remember which now) and was not allowed to. I did not have any Wonders that required the keeping of all. This was from a full 5 of each. I got an error message, but no longer remember what it was and have not noticed this issue since coming out of war.

Thank you.

BorderWalls modify the Citizen Count, which is an requirement for buying BorderWalls itself, so it could be that a nation with 5 free improvement slots would buy 5 BorderWalls instantly and COULD do it, while if the same nation would buy 5 BorderWalls each after another it COULD NOT do it, because after buying one, the new citizen count is not enough to buy 4 more.

That is (imho) a flaw in the mechanics of the improvement requirements which is why several other issues also exist:
- Gov change can change your improvement slots
- Imported Resources change your improvement slots
- Governmental Position Decisions can change your improvement slots
- GRL can change your improvement slots

That is why BorderWalls need to have this kinda bandaid solution to work around this modification issue. I made a suggestion to get rid of all these problems here and backed it up with some math, but it was not considered so far.

Or, you know, a simple formula to calculate the population effect per border wall could be put in place, and voila: multiple border walls purchased simultaneously.

I forgot I had posted this issue.

It really isn't a big deal, just thought something like Choop suggested, or maybe set it to not have a dropdown as the others do, as it is basically a non functioning, function.

eta.. Thank you Snow Dan for the link, I searched but did not get that one as a result.

Something contradictory at least to me is that you are only allowed to purchase one at a time so that the math (basically) keeps up and allows only purchase of the actual allowed amount, yet I can still buy the last one and go in the negative anyway. If I buy 1 at a time or all 5, I should still net the same outcome.
