Slavorussian throne dispute

The constitution does allow the Parliament to remove Emperor Justinian, in certain cases, however the constitution is vague concerning issues like this. The former emperor named Justinian as the heir to the Slavorussian throne, when his medical condition took a turn for the worse. This is only the second time the an emperor with a surviving son named another family member their heir, so there is little constitutional basis to expel Emperor Justinian. The prince claims his father was not in sound mind and body when his will was amended and because of that Emperor Justinian has no rightful claim to the Slavorussian throne.
The Parliament has agreed to hear both sides of the issue and to help both sides come to a reasonable compromise. However neither side is willing to give up the claim, and they will both fight tooth and nail for the right to lead the monarchy. Now both sides rally for support, in what appears to be the first Monarchial election. Both sides will have to make their argument to Parliament later this week.

"I'm here to defend my claim and my title as Emperor of the Slavorussian Empire. Another member of the royal family has stepped forward and demanded that his right to the throne be regognized. Sadly he has no right to make such demands. The Emperor has the right to name whoever he chooses as his heir, and that does not necessarily have to be his first born son. Although the prince has no legal basis to make his claims on, I suggest that if he is serious that he should take his issue to the Imperial Court."

We await the trial, and hope for a peaceful outcome to follow.
Do you think it will give the Supreme Imperial Court too much power?

Exactly, if this imposter takes power, bad things happen. Now maybe it won't be a full war, maybe it will just be an embargo, really matters if I feel like listening to my advisors that day.
