Manama City - Principality of Bahrain, Kingdom of New Sahrani -- The crisis over Bahrain is destabilising the north of the country, where thousands of Bahraini citizens are this morming campaigning for the right to remain autonomous amid fears they would be "sold out" by the Royal authorities in exile. Bahrain has enjoyed virtual independence under international pressures in the Middle East, they are now reluctant to give up their freedom to an as yet unspecified central government in Abu Dhabi. In a series of public meetings, phone-ins, newspaper adverts and cultural events to mark "referendum week", Bahraini citizens have been urged to sign a petition in support of the "right to determine their future".
Hundreds queued in the rain outside a tented booth blaring Sahranian disco music near the foot of Manama City Hall to sign the petition, which will be sent to the Sahranian Government. "We want to convince the Royal authority and the Middle East of a referendum for the people of Bahrain, without outside interference," said Mohammed Al-Sadr, 22, a university student. Organisers are calling for mass demonstrations in Bahrain’s major cities on June 17, the day the Sahrainan Royal Flag will travel from Abu Dhabi to Manama City "We want to show the rest of the country and the world that federalism is the very least of our rights, I accept Joseph III as new King and Ruler, but we would like to keep our indipendence while paying taxes to Abu Dhabi" said the Mayor of Manama City.
Although many Bahraini citizens are enthusiastically pro-Sahrani after the removal of the hated military regime, they are suspicious that political expediency and Sahranian imperialism will result in hasty decisions on Bahrain's future which could mean the country is handed over to Sahranian Princes who care more about their personal interests. Bahraini leaders on the temporary governing council want a guaranteed federal region written in the next Monarchy Reform scheduled for the end of July.

Promised Land's leaders would like to personally assure the Bahrainians that The Kingdom of Sahrani will be a fair ruler, and will let them decide most things for themselves.

Ishiopia is more then willing to support this referendum, as it is the right of the Bahraini people to have a say in their fate. After speaking with the Royal Bahraini government in exile, we have decided that the Bahraini Royal Family will return to Manama within the coming days. The King and Crown Prince will hold "town hall style" meeting with their people to hear their concerns and complaints, so that they might convey them to the new Sahrani government.
OOC: King Joseph III, the Bahraini monarchy is being perserved, correct? They swear loyalty to you, so its like a federal monarchy or whatever?

Joseph III said is in the rights of Bahraini citizens to held a referendum and decide the way Bahrain will be ruled. If 50% +1 will vote the preservation of the Bahraini Royal Family, the Royal Senate of Abu Dhabi will vote the reform to change the government from Constitutional Monarchy to Federal Constitutional Monarchy. However the armed forces of Bahrain will be integrated in the Royal Army Corps of Sahrani, as well as the local police forces. The Referendum is scheduled for 22 June 2008, the quorum is 70% (High, but we must consider this is a very important decision)

This is acceptable. If the quorum is not met, I assume you will just abolish it anyway or will you leave it (Bahraini Monarchy) in place? Also, to ensure that such a problem (quorum not being met) does not occur, I suggest that you lower the quorum to 2/3rds of the population.
