I wonder ...

I'm going to drop out of my university right now because I got there on white entitlement (meanwhile, Obama, an admitted B-student at his prep school -- something nobody I know could afford -- got into Harvard on ... merit) even though my ancestors didn't have slaves and they didn't live where there was slavery at the time and had to compete with slaves flooding the job market and depressing wages and employment.
But really ... do you think this church is aware that their sermons are video taped?

How about the black on black slavery that started the slave trade? Why not turn to your fellow blacks and ask them for payment for your suffering.
blacks were slaves, but not all slaves were black. As whites were slave owners, not all slave owners were white.

Edit: But to answer the question, yes, it does hurt Barack.

Besides that he is white himself, so I would say that gets rid of the claims that Obama's Church is racist, it is not inline at all to mainstream US things but it seems alright to me. I mean if he is talking towards all white people then that is indeed stupid, but if it is aimed only towards those who had Ancestors who owned plantations and many slaves then he does put up a good argument, I think.
Anyway, to be honest I believe that Rev. Wright is better than that guy. I would much rather go to Wright's church than Pleger's church.

I've never placed a great deal of confidence in the judgment of religious leaders in general. First impression, he was playing to the crowd for the sake of attention seeking and didn't give a second thought to how anything he was saying would be taken or used outside that setting.
In short, he's an idiot. There are lots of those around in my experience.

It's divisive hate speech when a black guy says it. It's multiculturalism when a white guy does.

It should have happened years ago, but I'm glad he finally did this. Those guys are nothing but bad news.
