Change Font for Information Index

Currently, the font for the Information Index, (and the rest of the site) is Verdana (a sans serif type).
As we all know in the Information Index, there's alot of text to read which is frequently not 'broken up'.
The font should be changed to some type of Serif font (i.e. Times New Roman) to make reading all that text easier.
I know from my experience in a newspaper that Serif type is alot easier to read long texts in, because the small feet at the bottom of the font facilitate the human eye from transitioning word to word (useful when writing a story, or any text that is long).
This change would make reading those parts of the index alot easier, and would likely result in people reading the Index fully (without giving up halfway through a huge paragraph) and more often.

Look around and grab the nearest book.
Open up to a page where it is all just plain text.
Look at the "feet" of the words.
(First is Times New Roman, second is Verdana)
If there are feet, it's Serif.
No feet is Sans Serif.
Chances are, your book has a Serif font to make reading all that text easier for you.

I personally would suggest a change in font to Calibri
Its a lot easier to read and has been specifically designed to be easier on the eye.

It looked really blurry to me. Is it normally like that or just how it was displayed?

I'm not a big fan of Serif fonts. No real reason why really, I just don't care for the way those fonts look. Besides, Wikipedia uses Sans Serif and I've never heard of anyone suggesting any different over there.
In most Wikipedia pages, there are pictures next to the text, and surrounded by text, that making reading easier. Besides, Wiki isn't that good anyway. They even linked to the wrong Kevin Marks,

You should at least experiment with it. Technically speaking, everybody will have an easier time reading it with Serif, vs. Sans Serif. Besides that fact that you aren't a fan of it, there's no reason why Verdana should be held on to (only for the parts of the Info. Index that is).
IMO, this is the best way to go.

looked really blurry to me too. and if Serif makes a difference i'm pretty sure it's very miniscule and won't make or break a paragraph.
You'd be surprised, but the change of course isn't so apparent if we're looking for it. For the average reader that doesn't feel like reading a bunch of text, the current Info. Index is pretty uninviting (especially with Sans Serif).

If you don't want Times New Roman, there are plenty of other Serif fonts to try out. Why don't you guys/girls get a piece of text, and get a form of it in Serif and Sans Serif and see which one is easier to read?
How about creating a separate, identical Info Index- with the only difference being Serif? It can be temporary or permanent, the player can choose whichever one they prefer to read in.

This is a matter of opinion. Your opinion appears to be in the minority, and, importantly, opposite to Admin's
.
I find sans-serif fonts easier to read on the screen. There's a good reason why title bars, menu bars, icon captions etc, and most applications and websites (including these forums) use a sans-serif font.

sans-serif is considered more legible on computer screens.
I just did a quick search on the web, and it seems san-serif is more appropriate for viewing on computers.
I related my information from printed works, such as a newspaper.
Apparently, I was all wrong
You can slam the mighty rejection stamp on me for this one
